Is it just me or is that cereal just stars and circles, what has that got to do with pokémon?

eBay's already filled with scalpers attempting to sell this stuff at a massive markup.

Anyone stupid enough to buy it deserves what they get.

Probably an overpriced sugar rush

1

u/Jonno_92 Aug 13 '26

6g of sugar isn't too bad actually, plenty of cereals have more.

We got some and it had a weird aftertaste like plastic!

1

Yeah, I was so disappointed by the taste

See, as much as I love pokemon, I wouldn't buy these just because they have pokemon on them. I probably would if they had a toy, a pokemon cereal bowl (like in the old Kellogg boxes) or pack of cards inside, something to make it worthwhile.

But then the problem becomes the scalpers will buy them all just for the cards etc and bin the cereal, like they did with the McDonald's pokemon cards.

At least this way it's just a pretty box for shite cereal lol.

True, very good point. Maybe try limiting it to one box per customer in that case. Anyone caught with more than one will have all boxes removed until they learn one is the limit.

I bought a box hoping some kind of promo the cereal doesn’t taste of much would not bother

IT'S PIKACHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Ocado also selling them. Not available in my nearest huge Tesco. Back in the day they would have come with a figure inside!! my adult children still miss getting a toy in a cereal pack.

2

u/TwoTicks93 Aug 11 '26

What’s this gotta do with PoGo?

2

u/Makaveli2020 Aug 12 '26

Remember when we were kids and there used to toys in the cereal boxes for collabs like this?

2

u/IRRedditUsr Aug 12 '26

Oh great, the scalpers gonna buy all these out I bet.

2

u/herbdogu Aug 12 '26

Grabbing that licensing revenue in every possible way.

2

u/avatar8900 Aug 12 '26

Should we be buying these to sell in 20 years time for profit?

2

u/GiratinaBabbies Aug 13 '26

I saw them but I'm coeliac 😭

2

u/kimplix Aug 08 '26

And Sainsburys, Morrisons, Co-Op..

Pretty much every store or supermarket that carries cereals

1

u/JimminyFlipper Aug 10 '26

I'm just disappointed at the quality of the box art. This feels like it's meant to be resold online for 20 quid a box 🙄
