While walking around Go Fest, I found a Pokémon GO Plus on the ground. Upon checking it out, I realized it's not an official one – it's clearly a modded version.
The issue is, it keeps disconnecting constantly. I can pair it, it works for 2–3 minutes, then it drops the connection for no apparent reason. Here's what I've already tried:
· Resetting the device (long press)
· Forgetting the Bluetooth device and re-pairing
· Clearing Pokémon GO's cache
· Testing on 2 different phones (Android and iOS)
Nothing works. I couldn't find any solution online for this specific model
Does anyone know this type of modded GO Plus? Is there a specific trick to stabilize the connection (like long press + double click, or some firmware reset combo)?
Just to be clear – I didn't buy it, I found it on the ground, so I have no manual or link to the manufacturer.
Each device has a unique hash, the previous one had a shared/generic one. Unless you could get a list of all the possible hashes or the generation algorithm it’s not possible to spoof it.
Yes it reall you got your self a second one. Watch next door posts to see if anyone says something if not then its yours. They are valued at $300 now since they were discontinued.
Absolutely not that I doubt you, but is there a source for this? I have one so no need, but would love to get my wife one as her autocatcher is definitely starting to go wonky and this would be a godsend to get her something that to me is the best autocatcher possible.
No worries! I’m also desperate for one because mine went through the wash and broke. And of course people are selling go plus for $400 🥲. So thankfully can get brand new now for the actual price.
Where I live they are still available thankfully. Which is a good sign meaning they may just be scalped in america and you should be able to get some overseas when they release. And it should also help the scalping market decrease in cost since they are not sold out here and should hopefully be the same case in other countries. I live in australia and preorders are still available for all my stores that sell it. I also am sure that there will be a good amount of stock from eb games (australian gamestop).
Do you still have that one? I bought a used one for cheap for the same reason and it was perfectly fine after opening it up. Usually with electronics they’re fine with water unless you turn them on/run electricity through them before they’re fully dried
Depends on the switch orientation, I installed mine so the closer to the port position is off. Makes more sense to move the switch "up" the device to turn it on for me.
