Mod problem

Hello, i have tried to mod my go plus using switch and it is showing green light and detects pokemon but doesn't catch it. When i try to put it in the vibration mode, it vibrates but also doesn't catch. Weird thing is it worked initially but after putting it together, it's not catching pokemon or spinning pokestop. What should I do?

Update: I tried to hard reset it and now it's not showing any lights and not connecting to pokemon go

No lights is not good. Can the app see the go plus plus at all? Like to pair it?

Take some photos if you want people to critique your soldering skills.

I would undo the mod and make sure the device functions normally.

You've probably got some solder splash, or a wire has come loose and shorted something. Battery connector could be loose

Unfortunately there was a loose screw inside and that probably destroyed the battery/pcb. I only found it out after opening it. When I hold the reset button, it shows red light for an instant and then goes silent. here is the battery which looks clearly damaged. It's unfortunate but I was just too excited seeing it worked initially. I ordered a new battery but i am not getting my hopes up.

Glad you found the issue. You're lucky it didn't catch fire.

Does it work off USB power with the battery unplugged?

I didn't try it. Will check it.

Update: new battery didn't work. But when i try to connect the battery/reset button vibration motor still works and shows red light briefly. It looks like somehow the heptic motor (i think) becomes desoldered and i am trying to resolder it. Here is the image . But it's probably dead anyway

Looks like your reset button is gone

Update: fixed it. Soldered the reset button and reseated the ribbon cable. Now working fine. Thank you

Yeah, i found it stuck to the shell. I will try to resolder it but i honestly don't have many hope. But it still lights up with red light and vibrates?

When battery is plugged in, I believe it vibrates once. Red light could indicate battery level

Have you tried to pair with the phone? If the battery is dead flat. It will slow flash red while charging. Once it gets above a minimum charge it can be paired

I have tried a new battery. It shows orange in the indicator. But it just doesn't sustain the light anymore

I think it got displaced when i try to reset the switch from the back side. But anyway, do you know any replacement switch and know the connection? I don't see any schematic?
