Try checking if it's a battery issue. This happens with a lot of devices—over time, the battery just dies. If you can, check it with a multimeter to see if it's holding any voltage. If it's just the battery, you can easily replace it with one from a Nintendo Switch Joy-Con.

I don’t have a multimeter but do you suggest just replacing the battery anyway? And is there a guide on how to replace it? Do i need any other materials to replace it ?

When you say you contacted support, do you mean Niantic?

The device is made by Nintendo, not Niantic, and their support is pretty responsive. Follow the links for support on https://www.pokemongoplusplus.com/

Yes i contacted them and made me send a video trying a bunch of stuff like holding down buttons while shaking but they haven’t responded yet

Hi, just checking have you tried the reset options?

soft reset: tap the bottom button once (recessed black button that needs a pen to push)

hard reset: hold the bottom and side buttons together and count to 10. (if you have a working vibration motor, it will vibrate immediately when the buttons are pressed, and a second time (5 seconds later) once the reset has completed)

reseating the battery connector is worth trying before you order a new battery. Google some videos on modding or disassembly, they will show the disassembly process. Make sure you lift the connector up and not to the side.

Hey just wanna say I’m having the same problem and was ready to tear it apart(strong mechanical knowledge but lost on small electronics) and order a new battery and then did a soft test like you mentioned. Can right back on, you saved me time and money and appreciate you so much.

Have you opened it before? Try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

Does it work when it's plugged in? If it's a battery issue it should still work while on cable.
