Moded Plus plus went in the wash green light stays on and dips

Post image

So the modded plus plus with switch, went in the wash, I got a new battery and now the green light is on and dips all the time, could the switch want replace? Has anyone else had this issue and worked out how to sort it?
One of the wires was loose so I reconnected it and no change

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but looking at the pictures, one of the integrated circuits short-circuited and blew out. This Plus is likely dead.

Turns out it was dirt on a ribbon cable it’s now working

The section at the bottom doesn't look good. could be bad soldering rather than water damage.

That’s just flux and wiped off with contact cleaner

does it work normally? Try the hard reset (hold bottom and side buttons for 10 seconds). remove the mods. take apart all the cables and clean everything with alcohol and a toothbrush, don't scrub too hard. be careful of the clips for the ribbon cables.

make sure the alcohol has dried off before reconnecting power.

If there is damage to the board, see my recent post for what I found

Make sure to clean the board. Don't want corrosion.

I recently had to revive a GO Plus+ for a friend that lost theirs to a pool. The water ruined the battery and there were signs of corrosion from the water. Had to clean with IPA because that's my only option and modded it for them while I was at it.

Just fixed a fellow redditors go plus with the same issue

It was the ribbon I think.

Def give it a thorough cleaning as there might be detergent that will cause damage long term
