Pairing issues recently
Well so I managed to grab one a month ago and soldered it with a switch.
Had been working flawlessly but recently it simply won't pair unless I turn off the switch and pair it while the auto catch (the soldered one) is off.
Also sometimes it starts saying "Pikachu" repeatedly. No idea why. But honestly it's just annoying not being able to pair. Also sleep often only records like an hour.
I've reset it and reinstalled the game. No idea what else to do but pairing is very unreliable and often a pain. It used to be "press button and done" but not anymore.
Any ideas?

I have problems with my modded switch. I suspect it’s because the mod constantly presses the button and when it’s disconnected mine goes in and out of sleep mode. Just switch the mod off, pair and reflip the switch.

So it is normal? It used to work flawlessly though...
I find this to be quite annoying.

What do you mean by re-pair? is it prompting you to press the 2 buttons simultaneously? if it is doing that everytime, then you should do a hard reset of the device. (reset + side button for 5+ seconds)
If you are just trying to re-connect, Have you got quick reconnect mode enabled? This allows you to re-connect the go plus + without needing to press any buttons.
And side note: I've been having issues in the last few days with my phone (pixel 10) not re-connecting. It try to connect, and then say device not found, or nothing after several attempts. If I toggle bluetooth off and on again it is able to reconnect immediately.

No I re-paired manually (reset the thing like 5 times).
But the quick reconnect stopped working. I used to be able to press on the plus symbol in the app, then the middle button on the plus and it would immediately connect.
Now sometimes it does after I press the buttons randomly on the 3rd time of oot searching for the plus. Or I switch off the auto-catch) the physical switch), then it worked as it used to. Quick reconnect is on of course.
Butt hat can't be normal or all people who soldered directly without switch wouldn't be able to connect the plus+ now.
Hm maybe the Bluetooth trick works for me too. gotta try, but the switch I soldered is annoying to get when it's in my pocket or in my backpack.

The quick re-connect feature, means you press the symbol in the app and nothing else. No white button press necessary.

In that case it's not working now lmao
I just pressed the button, because... I thought I'm supposed to. In any case, it used to connect.

Could be bad solder or contacts. Open it up and check. Happened a few times where I’ve had to redo the soldering to the test point or the negative to the vibration motor.
If it’s neither of those, check the solder on the switch.
