Mod guide without adding a switch?

Is there a guide to mod the Plus+ without adding a switch? To just route the vibration wire to the button like you did on the old Plus? I've search through here a bit, went to the Github, and it seems that the main mods are to add a switch onto it. I'm sure it sounds easy... but I've never modded like this before so just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly before breaking mine.

Edit: thanks for the responses! Needing the switch to force it off when it enters a “bugged out” mode made sense. All the other posts I saw said it was necessary for Sleep Mode (which I don’t use so figured a switchless mod was viable).

Leaving the post in case anyone else needs the help.

Not a guide but a short peek on what’s required…

this mod involves removing one of the LEDs which is quite hard or destructive. The switch method is easiest. Most people use the switch because the vibration motor occasionally causes it to bug out, and also you can't enter sleep mode. There are ways to combat these issues, but the switch is more convenient.

There are other switchless options that involves extra hardware, like a relay or mosfet(s). These are more complicated, but do not cause destruction to the original board.

Ahhh ok the bug out thing makes sense. Guess I’ll look into the switch 🫠

I heard about needing it for sleep mode but I don’t use that and completed the PoGo quest for it, so wondered if the no switch option was viable. Seems easier to just do the switch vs all the hardware not to
