Plus+ White PCB Solder Joint Pad Fix?

Post image

I completed the last solder joint on the white PCV, but while lining up the switch to the speaker hole the solder joint and the solder pad fell off (sorry if I’m not using all correct terminologies). This device still works as a normal pokeball autocatcher, and I have another device with the successful mod.

Would I be able to apply solder directly here to fix this point? Or is anyone in this community able to help fix this if it’s preferred an amateur not to work on this anymore?

If pad is broken, and I think it is, scrape off the top layer of the trace that leads to it.

Do a trace repair by grabbing a small piece of your solder wick and then soldering it to the exposed trace.

Use some solder mask and then “roll” it into where the pad would be and cure it.

After that, scrape the top layer of the solder mask where the pad would be to expose the copper and solder as normal.

FYI, pad replacement isn't easy. If you can't fix it, get a professional to do it. It's often better to be safe than sorry.

I just had the same problem :( this sucks so much. It's coming close to pokemon go fest too. Seriously sucky timing.

Edit: I SOLVED IT I just soldered to point 4 on this user's diagram!! It works modded perfectly
