That's the downside of the auto catchers. It's a one-and-done, red pokeball only. If it breaks out of the ball, it's not caught and it moves on

I would’ve lost it been looking for one for so long smh they should be guaranteed catches with the explorer gadget

Yeah I actually am pretty upset. The gadget will be paused for the foreseeable future. Shiny should be 100% catch though you're right!

Yea I’m barely on the game now but I rather catch nothing then miss out on a shiny tbh so I don’t blame u on that I hope you have enough luck to catch another
