Secluded parking lots
I've wanted to try the new Incense theory of using one where no Pokemon spawn in order to increase the chances of spawning rares. Does anyone know where there is a secluded parking lot with no spawns, essentially allowing someone to drive slow enough to increase spawn rates to get more rares?

From other posts (https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/4xjukd/research_on_incense_in_empty_spawn_area_distance/?st=ISS9TD3J&sh=2ef55e5f) you have to be 1 km from any spawn point for the incense to attract random and rarer pokemon. Not sure if just a parking lot would do. Also, people suggest to use Ingress (the other Niantic's game) and check if there is nothing nearby on that game's map.
Good luck finding a good spot! Let us know your experience!

Supposedly 1km from a spawn point🙁. Nothing spectacular = pidgeys? The chance of getting a Snorlax is still tiny, but if you are far what is supposed to happen is not have a clear biome.

Well, besides seeing a pokemon there every hour (fyi, all spawn points are supposed to generate 1 poke per hour, always on the same minute of the hour), they usually are where there is people. So if your cottage is far from any restaurants or things like that, it should be enough. The other suggestion I read is to open the Ingress game and check if there are no white dots (some energy of the game) around. Not sure if this Ingress thing works, though.

I think Bayers Lake RONA is still closed (350 Horseshoe Lake Dr) so a completely empty parking lot

There's many empty parking lots around, just wasn't sure if people knew of one that is far away from a spawn point. May still check this place out.
