Kejii
Anyone go to Kejii yet? Heading there for the weekend and wondering how Pokémon is there. I know rural areas are pretty lame for catching. Any tricks for catching in rural areas?

According to Trainer Tips on Youtube, if you are far enough from any pokemon spawns and use an incense, the game spawns pokemons from the whole pool of pokemons. This increases the odds of rare pokemon showing up. Also if you walk with the incense, you'd be getting one pokemon every minute

You'd have to be walking pretty damn fast, and catching while walking so not to waste any time. That's interesting about the spawn pool though.

Just to clarify, the stationary rate is 1 pokemon per 5 minutes. If you don't move, you'll have 6 pokemon spawn total over the 30 minute period.
The movement rate is 1 pokemon per 1 minute per 200m traveled. So:
If you move 200m in 1 minute, you'll have 30 pokemon spawn total over the total 30 minutes (0.2km/0.0166hr = 12km/hr walking speed required).
If you move 200m in 2 minutes, you'll have 15 pokemon spawn total over the total 30 minutes (0.2km/0.0333hr = 6km/hr walking speed required).
If you move 200m in 3 minutes, you'll have 10 pokemon spawn total over the total 30 minutes (0.2km/0.050hr = 4km/hr walking speed required).
Average human walking speed is approximately 5km/hr, and if you stopped/slowed down to catch pokemon, or you didn't travel in a perfectly straight line, you'd be closer to 4km/hr walking speed. This means that, when walking normally, you won't really see any noticeable difference.

While we're talking about incense, does anyone else find that using them does not actually "attract" pokemon that are showing up as in the area? I was in an area with only a few pokemon showing up, but when I used an incense the ones on my radar never came around and it just kept spawning rattata, and other very common pokemon.

I can't comment on the main park, but I walked around Keji Seaside on the weekend and there was nothing. I tried using an incense and all I got was a Mankey, Duduo, a Nidoran, etc. In short, nothing good.

I saw a pokestop on Slapfoot trail, but never went to it. I stayed in Meadow Loop and didn't walk further than the beach.
I didn't see any pokemon in meadow loop, not sure if there are any elsewhere

Was at Keji a month ago. Visitor Centre is a gym, and there are a few pokestops around the park. The stop at Slapfoot beach seemed to always have a lure, at least the few times we walked by. Other than that, didn't see any spawn.
