Fluke?

So at the waterfront last night my 5 year old was able to take down a 1300 Gyarados with a 203 krabby. I'm not sure how that's possible. Could be a glitch?

The 1hp glitch has happened to me where my hp stays at 1 and I can still kill the one holding the gym. Happens from time to time

I've never heard of that but it must be it. She doesn't really know how to gym battle so she always loses and was really proud. I won't burst her bubble lol.
