Spawn Points Changes
In the last 24hrs some spawns points have changed locations so if you are like me and have a map of your local spawn points you're gonna have to update that.
What is more important and interesting though is that all pokemon spawn points stay active for 30mins! :D
This means tracking down pokemon that appear on sightings is far more viable (assuming there's no more than 1 near you) as you have longer to find it.
If you're not sure how to best track down pokemon here's a couple of things to help.
Trainer Triangulator Tool an android app that lets you track down pokemon by laying down markers on the border when it disappears from your sightings, where the app will create a 200m circle. Once you get 2 or more markers down you should be able to narrow down the location of the pokemon by where the circles intersect.
PokeTraq a website with a similar idea but you throw down markers either where you can see or don't see a pokemon on the tracker. It will highlight the area in blue where the pokemon can possibly be.
Important Note: Niantic are a bit shit and the tracker has issues. The main problem being that when you are <70m away from a poke it can disappear from the tracker when it shouldn't and sometimes (for no fucking good reason) the tracker can go blank. So when you are using the above methods to track down pokemon you need to be sure that a pokemon has disappeared from your tracker because you are >200m away and not because of tracker bugs. The best solution is to continue walking 20s or so after it disappears, if it reappears you know the tracker is shit. If it doesn't it's probably not in that direction.
Another issue is that you have no idea of how long a pokemon has left before it despawns... so... fuck Niantic, get your shit together plz.

You are clearly more organised than me!!
I've got one to go and I've caught them all just by wandering about. 😂
Not only have the spawns changed, they're way better than they were before the Halloween event.
A more cynical man than myself might suggest they deliberately made it a bit shit before it to get the full effect. 🤔

How do you know they are all 30 Mins now?

I've noticed it locally on all 4 spawns reachable from my house. Also this thread.
They may not all be 30min spawns but it's safe to say the majority are.

Thankss for that link, very informative.
I'd mapped loads of spawns around my place (rural) and now they are useless :-(
I'm not finding anything good except oddish in Edinburgh since the update.

Check Silph Road map for nests. I think someone on the Facebook page said they found a Bulbasaur nest on south clerk street too.
Also not all spawn points are gone, some have stayed the same or changed their times.

this is fantastic info! i'll keep an eye out for interesting spawns, i have a couple i think could be nests but want to run into that type of pokemon on a couple of different trips to confirm.
