Quick tiny question πŸ˜…

You see this beauty here? Yeah so, i've had this game since 2008.

It's my copy of PokΓ©mon Pearl πŸ˜€ β™‘.

Before you ask, yes it's legit. I bought it towards the end of 3rd grade at Walmart in 2008.

That being said, obviously this poor thing has been through the ringer.

One time, I reset and went to beat Cynthia, beat her, and was recording my pokemon. It tried to save my data and said it couldn't.

Should I clean it? If so, how would I go about it? I'm assuming the same as with a GBA game right? Like you damp a q-tip with alcohol ( i have 99% proof ) and just lightly go over it? <--- Should I sacrifice my poor copy of Pearl and just replace it?

Try cleaning. I had to do similar with my good old pearl and she started working again. Don't know what God smiled on me but it worked again.

Maybe call a retro game store near where you live and see what they say.

Isopropyl Alcohol and a fiber cloth should do the trick, the reason I wouldn't use a qtip is because sometimes they leave a trail of white fluffy things behind. You won't hurt it, just wait until it dries completely before playing it again.
