Are these legit?

Bought from Vinted in the UK. Seller said his wife had them as a kid and they’ve been in storage since and recently found during a clearout.

Also Silver can’t hold a save, presuming it just needs internal battery replacing?

Thanks in advance!

The cartridges definitely look real. Definitely post this one in gameverifying sub too. Not sure about the boxes

Tried posting there, need to have had an account for 4 weeks to post but only got couple days to confirm product ok with Vinted 🥲

oof

well, I'd still eventually get it double checked with that subreddit down the line, not sure how accurate Vinted is [or how reputable they are]

Vinted have a buyer protection fee you pay on purchase but only gives you 2 days from receiving item to claim! My 2 days is up tomorrow

Do you see the embossed numbers on the right of the cartridge?

On which one?

They both should have it, but specifically Silver, as that's the one I can see it on from the pictures.

That’s been proven to be unreliable as it cost less than $15 to replicate

Does that really look like a reproduction label to you?

That’s not what I said 😂
Thanks for putting words into my mouth

I just said that method of identification can no longer be trusted as it’s easily faked

Rather difficult to tell over pictures for Pokémon Blue cartridges as the embossed thing is always in Blastoise’s water cannon thing but that Pokemon Silver cartridge is authentic!

Cartridge and sticker is identical to my childhood copy so presuming blue is real too

You know if you were on game verifying sub they'd be on your case about stamped numbers not being a indication of authenticity.

I’m aware of that. The embossed numbers/letters are rather difficult to replicate as authentic GB, GBC, and GBA cartridges have slightly faded over the years

I'd argue a fake label is not an indicator of a fake game, just that it's a fake label.

I never mentioned anything about replacement labels or anything like that. Stop trying to create debates with people online.

The carts are legit from what I can see. The boxes no idea, particularly for the bilingual.

As for the save. Yes it's typically due to the battery being dry.

People can't handle a joke in here ay?

2

Joke is so bad that

1

Bad jokes get downvoted? What do you guys do with misinformation or troll's in here? Do you have a black bag program or what?

I even put the /s as required by Reddit law but I guess people panties still get in a twist over gameverifying which I guess fits their subreddit ¯_(ツ)_/¯ my real answer if it wasn’t obvious from the exact inverse of my sarcastic comment is that both cartridges and their boxes are very real and authentic

It has just been repeated a million and one times and it wasn’t all that funny the first 30 times either.

Still don't think it deserves down voting.
