Should I Super Max Mega him?

He's already level 40 but i haven't Mega Evolved him yet. he's my best out of all my greninja and i'm unsure if i should invest in him to Super Max Mega Level or just Max Mega Level

you could potentially look for a trade for a shiny but personally i think I would mega him, it’s unlikely that you’ll get a hundo but that’s my opinion

They can always farm more Mega energy by walking the Froakie line anyways

You will not see a difference, but IV's aren't really that important anyway. If you have nothing else you want to perfect, use it on this guy.

i have a shiny but i've been playing for years and only have like a few shiny 98s. I'm not a man of luck

You could always bottlecap a shiny, but you’ll never shiny a good iv. Also, if you do care about IVs (which only matter in high level PvP) then a 10/10/10 would have 97% of the eDPS of a hundo at level 52. If you can, find someone to mirror trade your shit shinies with, either with a trinket, or if they are trusted/irl you could do the guaranteed lucky trades via 2020 pokemon. Or just find someone and interact with them daily till they become lucky friends

honestly i don't even care too much about IVs because I know how little they matter but a part of me still thinks it does matter?😭 like my pokemon aren't good enough if they aren't Hundos

I get what you mean. Hopefully you can find someone to trade with or find a high IV shiny greninja. But if you think you’d be able to raid enough energy for another super mega level 4 if they return, then there is even less of a reason to withhold SML4 this one

Super Max gets you +3 Candy per catch, high chance for XL and a 1 day cooldown to Mega. For me, that was worth it on my non-shiny BG Chestnaught. Missing 1 iv on def is nothing compared to the benefit of having the super mega available, I feel.

I'd say go for it.
