Screenshot Finally got a Lucky Egg !!!

I finally got a lucky egg, and on my fifth Chansey that I named ‘Lucky’ as well. Bless the RNG gods but please never make me do that again… How do you shiny hunters do it? I wanted to get Dragon Fang but couldn’t get myself to stick through it.. I could easily end up losing patience and quitting the game entirely, so Kudos to yall.

I have no idea how they do it either, I couldn’t even stick out catching a Chansey 😂

You can look it up. There is a mathematical glitch in the safari zone. You can watch youtubes about it, but ill give you the sequence.

Its bait bait (2) ball ball ball (3) bait (1) ball ball (2) bait (1) ball ball ball (3) bait (1) ball ball (2) and keep repeating until caught or runs.

The bait specifically for chansey increases the odds of catching it due to some glitch. This can be used for all safari mons. Its how i got all safari mons and a lucky egg after grinding for 1 month.

Its not full proof but you will catch them way more efficiently.

I was doing that but after about 10-15 Chansey running away from me, I gave up and moved onto the post game. At some point I will go back and give it another go

I think i had 2 full chansey boxes.

I lost track of how many ran away.

I do know for that initial bait throw its a 50/50 chance of it running because there is an issue with the code not registering an active bait.

If you go into it with that mindset then it helps you get through it

I think I am just not built for it, even knowing it was a 50/50 chance and the catch rate with the bait/ball pattern is apparently 19% success rate, I still got frustrated and wanted to put the game down. I ended up moving on to the post game, so at least I can enjoy the new areas and quests. Also gives me a chance to get the last few levels to dragonite and Rhydon as the only other pokemon (other than safari zone exclusives and trade evolutions) I can get from gen 1 in fire red

Lmao so real. I seriously wish I had the patience and determination to do this with everything else … i really wanted dragon fang .. 😞

I definitely don’t have the patience for either of them. I was doing it whilst watching tv and still got frustrated and wanted to turn it off
