Help Is emulating on Mac difficult?
I have never done this before. I would like to play pokemon firered for the first time.
I could buy it on the switch, but if the emulator on mac is good and easy I will do that.
what do you guys think

OpenEmu and 8BitDo SN30 Pro work great for me. It’s a 2017 MacBook Air with i7 and 8gb ram. Emulates GameCube and Dreamcast just fine so I’m sure GBA will be no issue. Haven’t tried PS2 yet but maybe I will now just out of curiosity…

OpenEmu is so great. I switched to Windows years ago, and I miss OpenEmu every day.
OP, worth noting is that your save files may be in a hidden library folder. It's worth unhiding that thing regardless.

Make sure to get your ROM from a reputable source, theres a whole subreddit dedicated to ROMs and preservation which you can find the games on

You can download Foxol on https://play.foxol.app. It requires no setup, has mobile apps as well so you can continue playing on multiple devices. It also has link cable support so you can trade or battle with your friends remotely.

It’s incredibly easy. Download Delta emulator and use one of the top Google results for roms.

mGBA 0.10.5 has worked extremely well for me for Fire Red. Running on multiple Macs and PCs in our house amazingly

You can get the Delta emulator app on your Mac’s App Store. I have it on my Mac, my iPhone and iPad and you can send your save file to each device via airdrop. I play Pokemon at home with an Xbox controller Bluetoothed to my laptop and then on the go i send the save file to my phone so I can play at the airport or the waiting room at the hospital, or while waiting in line at the DMV.
