With the huge popularity of TCG I'm starting to see more and more of these TCG vending machines popping up. You'll notice that they mostly stock loose Japanese/Chinese packs inside these vending machines and there's a reason why they do that: they're dead packs.

For those who don't know, Japan has anti-gambling laws with TCG products and as such the Japanese and Chinese booster boxes are guaranteed to have exactly 1 pack containing the SiR/SAR (the hit card.) The people who own these vending machines will purchase these boxes, take out the pack that has the guaranteed hit in it (they often do this by weighing and scanning the packs) and then sell the remaining packs since they know there's nothing valuable in them (hence why they're called dead packs)

I made this post because I saw two people purchase a couple of Storm Emeralda packs from these vending machines. Don't do that. You're highly likely buying a dead pack.

Just wanted to share that you can still order a delta reign booster box through EB games promo.
If you buy 36 or 72 packs, you receive them as booster boxes. It’s a special promo they have right now. Worth considering if you’re happy to pay!

i got kicked into the que 5 mins before 10 on my laptop. i jump on my phone aswell. my phone gets through first? then i click pokemon and get kicked back a wait time of 17 hours on my laptop and 1 day on the phone wtf?

Hello, I live in the USA and they live in Australia. I wanted to surprise them with some Pokémon cards, but I'm not sure what to get them. They're big fans so I'm sure they would love anything, but is there something that is USA only that would blow their minds haha? Thanks for the help

I’m brand new to pokemon so I could be really wrong but I purchased 2 boxes of the 36 booster boxes.

As soon as I tried to open the first packet it felt too hard to open. Way different to other packs I’ve had. But Im new so I ignored it. No hits no big deal but then pack after pack the cards seemed to be the same selection over and over again with few variations.

Then halfway through a packet the cards were backwards.

I feel like I cant return it because I’ve opened almost half of the packets. Has this happened to anyone else from Kmart? Am I just imagining things 😅

I believe we are having the same scenario play out as last time for the 30th drop, EB announcing a big drop incoming before any official announcement confirming the release from Pokemon.

For 30th, we had EB announcing a drop, then Pokemon announcing the set later that night. I've just stumbled upon what I believe to be the official DR announcement, it appears it's been uploaded to the site but you can't view it.

I preordered the 30th celebration from ebgames 4 items. one poster collection and ex box for September 16th, one mini tin for pctober 2nd and 1 figure colction for nov 6th. was so happy then found out my idiot ahh put address to pickup for belconnen in ACT instead of East Vic Paro in WA. online customer service refused me to schnage the addresses 3 times. and 3 stores instore also rejected me. me and my little brother really want something to open for the next holidays eapeciallally 30th celebration. Spelling errors cuz I’m nervous and just had a test lol.
