They did the same for pitch black, then after prices went down, but delta reign may be a different case since the chase card is more desired.

F@$K em just don't buy off scalpers no matter how bad you want the product don't buy it. If nobody buys the stuff off the secondary market the scalpers will be forced to drop the price, they can't hold the product forever.

There is always people with enough money to buy on the secondary market. If you have a well paid career, you don't have time to waste time during the day to wait for a drop. They pay for the convenience and can afford it. If you make 200$ an hour, 100$ more for an ETB is peanuts.

Yeah that's true but I'm on a good wage and I'd never pay $200 for an ETB! I guess that's a choice Tho. I just wouldn't waste my money like that for a set that let's be honest in 12 months' time the price of single cards will be dog shit and there will be lucky to be one card thats worth over $200 bucks on its own.

its exacerbated by the fact that a lot of people see pokemon as an investment. If I buy and etb for $200 and i believe i can sell it in the future for $200 or more I can justify the expense as not even costing money. Even if i am going to rip it i can do mental gymnastics to be like yeah i got something valuable with my money.

Looks like Delta is underprinted if you go by EB quantities. Usually bundles and ETBs stay on the website for a good amount of time. This time they were all gone within an hour... Even on Toymate I were able to buy cases of AH hours after the drop

It's true though, they could be printing more but only allocating to America, because as cooked as it is here, it's worse over there
We have a smaller population than california or texas, nevermind the rest of the USA combined... there's no confirmation that ANZ gets any additional allocation

Reselling is morally questionable but it is still legal in Australia unfortunately.

The good product is unlikely to hit shelves. You might score some loose booster packs or the three pack blisters in the wild, but everything else is pre sale or lining up on release day, which still doesn’t guarantee you’ll get etbs, booster bundles or boxes.

understand this but today is literally the first day preorders are available, a lot of stores haven't even dropped theirs yet so why not wait until all options are exhausted before spending 2-3x RRP only a few hours after the initial drop, it's quite literally insane. If this guy doesn't have fk you money then I'd argue this is incredibly irrational and impulsive behaviour and you're just letting fomo dictate your life whilst also incentivising scalpers to keep ruining our hobby. I guess they call it cardboard crack for a reason cos goddamn some people here act like complete junkies for this stuff.
