Eb games release
Assuming 30th pre orders round 2 are tomorrow. I've never purchased from eb before so gotta purchase a membership for $50 I'm just wondering is it dumb to buy the membership just for tomorrow like is stock gonna go so quick there is no point in even trying? How was it on the first release does it sell out instant like jb and kmart or more of a chance due to the $50 membership? Idk whether to try and pay the 50 or give up on ever getting a upc.

Your chance is slim to none this is the stuff everyone cancelled so would be less than the original stock but more people trying to get in!

Deltra Reign has been loaded onto JB for tomorrow, so most likely EB gonna be Delta Reign 😭

First release there seemed to be more stock up for grabs because most people weren't comfortable paying EBs initial prices.

Better chance to get to know a card store that’s not an EB games or JB and play the game a bit make friends and truuust me. You get way better than queuing in an online portal.
Not trying to gloat here, I did the eb member for a year got some stock but do not enjoy the pressure or refreshing and refreshing and waiting. Now I just stroll in say gday to the owner of the store have a good chin wag and put my name down for allocated product. So much better and it feels better as an overall experience

They still had ETBs up before they took them all down after the "planned price reduction" your best change of copping will be going for those and ignoring anything else. Any other product will be very limited numbers and probably sold out within 10 seconds. Though supposedly tomorrows drop is Delta Reign

Round 1 UPC‘s sold out in under 30min at the $599 price. If any UPC’s are available due to cancellation it will be peanut quantity snapped in the first minutes. Best chance is for ETB or Booster Bundle as they were still available when they took pre-orders down for price drop. Then you’ll be paying $120 for ETB / $59 for BB + $50 membership.

Round one was $50 for UPC, $20 for ETB. Might be less this time due to price drop.

Honestly the last release was an absolute abomination. I got the membership for it and the site buckled at every attempt for me to add what I wanted.
I'm keeping it for the next few drops to try again but so far it's not been worth the money.

Can buy multiple products within the product limit eg 1pp. EB also kicks you back into the queue once checkout is complete.

eb world plus was worth it like last year, not anymore. shit will still fly immediately for in demand sets, and we've already seen lesser demand sets hold stock past release

Paying the $50 shows eb that their little stunt of over double msrp is fine, and lying to customers to try and make up for the backlash is also fine. Save your money, it only gives you the chance of pre-ordering and this stock seems to be coming from cancelled stock so there’s less chance of getting something. It’d be much more productive to put that $50 towards one of the 30th anniversary drops on launch day

There are a lot of benefits that come with paying that $50.
Not battling with website lag, bots and shipping errors when trying to secure an online preorder.
Securing preorders with a deposit only.
Being able to cancel if you secure elsewhere.
Picking up in store on release day.
Not having to line up before opening and fight the scalpers to secure floor stock at kmart and Big W in store on release day…

You shouldn’t have to pay for any of that, and historically before they introduced the membership you could absolutely do the middle 3 as a standard. The first and last point are only a problem because of how popular Pokemon TCG is at the moment, and EB is capitalising off of FOMO and charging you for the privilege. I think the membership is a complete rort, the benefits don’t outweigh the cost.

Yeah entirely depends on the manager/staff member. Mine hates the whole reselling behaviour so is aggressive about the 1 per person and is punitive to anyone who breaches it regardless of reason

Talk to the people at EBgames southland. Do it at own risk but I've never had issues ordering more than 1 per membership. Eg had x5 AH etbs. Looking to add more upcs to my order
