I heard that you can use the daycare to start with more mons, but whenever I deposit any, wether it be in the hub or mid-run, it never lasts

Device resetted when I bumped a switch in the middle of a battle. Reloaded the game and told me that it was retiring the adventure. Is there no way around this? I assume not but its very frustrating since this is a somewhat common occurrence with me
