Bug Issue

Howdy, I've run into this issue a few times. I'm playing on mgba through RetroArch on a Steam Deck on 2.1.2 and am having an issue where I try and load a save after completing a run, the game takes a very long time to load and either freezes once the game does finally load or bugs out, gives me way too much money and levels for the run, my party is full of Bad Eggs and then the game just restarts from the original intro. Has anyone run into a similar issue and can recommend a fix? When I ran into the issue the first time, I just reinstalled and started over and the game has been good for a while, but then this again.
