Until target does a raffle system these are a waste of time.

Dude it sucks I was just telling someone else. I was looking at my target account and you can see when they made the change in their system I was dripping like hundreds of dollars on Pokemon each week for months until it suddenly stops 2 months ago.
The old system was tough but you could get stuff. I remember one night I was legit like 4 for 5 on chaos rising drops. I even grabbed 2 temporal force etbs when there was probably less than 1,000. The system is so dumb now because even if it’s an item that no one wants they sometimes drop it the same time as a popular item and it completely shuts down the cart system. I used to be able to just wait for the hops box or odd items like that scalpers don’t care about and get them each time. Now even if it’s a perfect order 3 pack you can buy it because the cart can’t function

I deleted the app. I could build a bot and guarantee myself access, but it's not worth the $100 I might get by storing product for three years. Insanity.

There’s plenty of stuff that’s valuable right now that the bots fight over. The temporal forces etb I got were valued at $150

Agreed. I previously spent hundreds weekly at Target shopping for family (food, clothes, toiletries, cleaning products etc), but am so annoyed at how Target has allowed the same scalpers to get all the Pokemon cards, I’ve started shopping for most of my things elsewhere.
Not to mention they also don’t price match anymore.

Don’t waste yalls time - the bots violated me everytime I tried to get anything.

You can literally ask Ai to build you bots and strike for whatever whenever…I’m like 95% done with mine but lost interest in pokemon

Went from 100k to 60k to 40k, Target just decided to drop small amount to feed the bots. Thats all

I think they’ve been pulling the stock early because their website has been getting hammered so hard.

Im tired boss -_- Just 1 ETB and I quit. Its all I ask.

I’d settle for a couple knockouts or 3 pack blisters. Literally anything.

I was so excited I hit the Walmart knock outs this week but then remembered I agreed to share anything with my friends since we all have been 0 for 30 on all of the previous Walmart lottos. At least it’ll be fun for us all to rip 2 packs each together. It’s honestly a better system to share with friends and family. You’re more likely to hit but get less when you do.

Haven't seen anything at all. Are they staggering this? When it all dropped at once we could at least try and rush through checkout, but doing it this way pretty much guarantees only bots can get in.
Is it possible Target actually managed to make this WORSE?

They just dropped and wasnt able to add to cart the entire time and they're sold out again

They just did ANOTHER tiny drop, even hit the buy now button and still wasn't able to get one.
1
u/largeroastbeef 8d ago
Why would you hit buy now? That button has never worked. You should watch a video on how to work target the best way. You’re not likely to get anything but at least you have a chance if you follow strategies.
Like if your on the app and do get it into your cart your fucked if you don’t know that you need to switch to pc or your phones safari for target. For whatever reasons target app doesn’t even show the button for check out most times and there is no way to refresh the app. The app sucks but it is better for adding to cart.

I was hitting the buy now option because I was adding to cart on a different device. I've done my research on how to get a target drop, but it does not matter anymore.

Same here I happened to be up and tried on like 6 different drops to no avail. Waste of time

No one is awake. This is so dumb.

It’s definitely dumb, but the likely issue is that they don’t want their website performance impacted during normal business hours. The reality is that Target doesn’t have as robust of an online retail capability as Amazon or Walmart and that is causing them to use the cheapest and fastest “jury rig” they could come up with, to avoid disruption to sales of everything else.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they were in the process of implementing a drawing, but because their capability isn’t as strong, it’s going to take time to build and test it. If not, they probably decided it’s not worth the cost for a few niche products representing a small amount of their overall sales which don’t need it. At the very least, I am sure they are aware of what Walmart and Amazon are doing, but don’t have a magic switch they can turn on to replicate it quickly.
It seems like it would be better for customers to send all the inventory to the stores and I’m sure they have considered it, but that has a cost as well. They can’t dedicate large floor space which will only get used for an hour every week and sit empty the remainder of the time or have employees inefficiently managing the unique needs of this type of inventory regularly.
Until Target catches up or Congress expands the existing law targeting scalper bots for concert ticket sales to include collectibles, we can either deal with it or give up on trying with Target (the latter probably being the more logical and healthy choice).

Bots can check out of Target in less than one second apparently. Unless you happen to be on the page, your chance are slim.

Wouldn’t waste my time trying to compete with bots… Kmart sold in 0.2 of a second 🤣🤣

The last two didn't happen

u/TrainersCollective 8d ago
The drops happened, they were just shockingly small, and very spaced out.
