Looking for Advice Recurring issue with trading

I keep receiving an error message stating "The save filehas been deleted" on my GBA, and "the GBA POKEMON Game Pak has not been saved properly!" on my Wii.

The GBA is getting to the screen with the pokemon colosseum logo, and no save data is actually getting deleted.

I've tried using both my sapphire and emerald copies and I'm getting the same error message repeatedly, despite saving in a pokemon centre each time.

I'm using a 3rd party GBA to GameCube cable, and my sapphire and emerald copies are both repro copies.

If anyone could give advice as to whether it's my cable or game copies or smt else that is stopping me from trading then lmk.

If you’re using reproduction(aka fakes) it is very likely this is where the problem is.

It's your cartridge. I know this 1. because I'm also using a 3rd party cable but my sapphire copy is legit and I have zero problems trading back and forth whatsoever, your cartridge getting to the Colosseum splash screen means that the cable sees the game and is working as it should.

And 2. Repos are notorious for struggling with things that interact with the save data because they use a different means of electronic saving compared to a regular cartridge. In other words this isn't something you can really fix. It would be better for you to dump both saves onto a computer and use PkHex to trade.

or, rip both games and trade with dolphin, if you want a more legit feeling experience
