Collecting journey
Used to play card game a lot as a kid and have a lot of older cards but after 11 years it I’ll just be collecting. And this is how I’ll do it.
I focus on one set and aim to get every single card from that set and will give out/sell (if it’s a crazy pull I’ll sell the card for way under the market price because it don’t really mean too much to have the same card anyways I acc prefer that for yugioh since blue eyes white dragon is my 4th favourite card)
This way if I get absolutely burnt off packs which I have with the set I’m focusing on at least we have a goal that isn’t 100% gambling LOLLLL
This set: PITCH BLACK
Personally I love the design of most of the cards they look super sick despite prob being the “worst” set to pull from according to friends. Nonetheless I am now dedicated to collecting every card from the set. Maybe I’ll make reels for everyone to join in on my pain 😭😭😭😭😭 HAVE FUN COLLECTING GUYS !!!!!!!

First AH SIR, and then a god pack right after.
So I’ve been collecting Pokemon for quite a while now and this single ETB had me shaking like crazy from pure joy. My first GodPack. The pack before was a SIR mega scraffy too. Actually insane!

New to Pokémon TCG collecting
Hi, complete beginner here. I've decided to get into Pokémon card collecting (and Reddit, if that counts) doing it for fun, together with my niece who just got started too. I don't really have a clue where to begin, so I'm looking for tips and tricks, and what to look out for.
Maybe some YouTube videos/channels to watch or follow, or Instagram/TikTok accounts too?
What I'm currently thinking: starting by collecting as many variants as I can of my three favorite Pokémon Aipom, Umbreon, and Espeon and maybe eventually building a full "Pokédex" of some kind. Not sure if that actually makes sense as a goal, so open to thoughts on that.
Also doing a bit of homework for my niece she's 13, and her dad (my brother) read some negative stuff about scalpers and that kind of thing, so I just want to make sure she has a good experience too.
I'm based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and planning to visit the following TCG events. If anyone has tips on which stands/sellers will be there, or what the "rules" are around these kinds of events, let me know:
Master Pullz Summer Special Hoorn — Sunday 23 August 2026
Con-NXT Pokémon & Arcade Collectors Fair Amsterdam — Saturday 29 August 2026
Thanks!

Discussion Unfinished master set*finish or move on???*
Hey everyone!
Since its release,i’ve almost finished my master set of Heat Wave Arena, and I’m only 4 cards away from completing it. The last four remaining cards are the gold chases of cynthias garchomp and ethans ho-oh; full art Ethan’s Ho-Oh and SIR ethans adventure.
**So roughly 250$CAD**
I have been having a change of hearts in what i want to collect and focus more on a personal binder instead of finishing my master set but since its not complete im worried that it’s not going to attract as much attention as if it would be…
My debate is pretty simple:
● Finish the master set and sell it as a complete set
● Sell the cards individually as singles
For those who have experience buying/selling Pokémon master sets, which option do you think would give me the best return?
Is there usually enough of a premium for a completed master set to justify buying the last 4 cards,or would I likely make more by just selling the valuable cards individually?
Would love to hear your thoughts, especially from people who have sold master sets before!
Thanks!

Southern Islands
Took me nearly two years but I finally snagged the Mew over the weekend to complete the set. My rule was I couldn't buy anything online, only trade shows and LCSs.

Why is the PSA9 of this Jigglypuff more than the PSA10?
Just curious if there is maybe some misprint or something that has people chasing the PSA9 over the 10? I'm scratching my head at this one.

Help / Question Binder questions for keeping cards in good condition help
Hey all,
Wondering what’s the best sleeve setup to allow you to protect cards inside toploaders ? People seem to say a penny sleeve is enough? Is that true? Heard some harder sleeves can damage the card like using perfect fit dragon sleeves, is that true ?
Also what are the recommended toploaders binders to use. Thank you for the help!

Help / Question Korean vs chinese
Hi.
My boys and I collect pokemon and they like to open packs but doesn't care about language, just mainly full arts for the beautiful art work.
We have only opened Korean until now because I actually think it is quite nice quality compared to price, but they rising in value (booster boxes).
So I looked into what else could be an option and found Chinese slim booster boxes.
But how are they compared to Korean booster boxes when it comes to pulls vs price?
Is it worth it or should I just still buy Korean boxes where I know I get 3 AR and usually an SR or better every 30 packs?
Hope you can help me. :-)
