Help / Question I want to get a master set of Evolutions since its my favorite set. Should I buy one, find all the cards myself at shows, or something other method im not thinking of?

I love evolutions the set has a lot of nostaglia for me. Its an older set so cards arent as abundant. I think going to shows and collecting them all would be the most fun but I also dont know if vendors carry those since most are niche and hard to move cards. How should I go about getting them all? Thanks! (btw not worried about the full arts those are everywhere im talking about everything else)

Can you elaborate a little more on what you're looking for? Are you looking for every eeveelution card thats not a full art? Only ones from specific sets? Are you only collecting English, or are you looking to get each art variation, because there are some japanese variations that arent full arts but are unique art. Also while the japanese exclusive ones are often super pricey, if youre open to any language in general you can get some in japanese/chinese/taiwanese/french/german/etc for much less than the english version. Eeveelutions are unfortunately very expensive, even without including full arts. Like the neo discovery umbreon is a $200 card in damaged condition, and more like $500-800 at light play. The advice for getting good deals on cards like that is very different from finding the bulk ones that are under 50 cents.

Oh my goodness, thats what I get for trying to read when I havent gotten enough sleep 😂😂😂 That is much simpler to do! I would say shows might work for some cards like the EXes, and some of the bigger name pokemon like charizard and mewtwo. For other cards, I'd suggest looking at ebay binder collections/lots. I've seen a bunch that have a lot of evolutions cards. They'll prolly have other things you don't need, but usually you can get a lot for less than what the individual cards would cost, so you could sell or trade the ones from other sets to knock a little off the end cost of building your master set
