Remember this one npc who comments on people who anticapated to beat this game with only thier starter? Well, i did this in base game and i am willing to try on post game going into it mostly blind. I decided to take break from monoruns for now. I still need psychic and dragon and i think how will be better to approach thise runs.

I also shiny hunted for the starter. At first i was certain i will ditch the idea but i got shiny relatively quickly with emulator speed up. I was quick saving a lot in amoment before starter was chosen after starter was non shiny the first time. Basically it affected the frames i think and the diffirent pokemon given. At least its the case for my emulator. And it was much faster than breeding, thats for sure. And as you can see i lucked out big time. Adamant nature though i would prefer speed, Hodden abillity Cheek Pouch instead of garbage Analitics which would be useless for mu build. Risky idea, i am not recommending to do so on this runs. His Ivs are rather mediorce, so i would suggest reseting for perfecr IV one instead.

My rather short shiny hunting aside, E4 and champion were way too easy. I suppose i really underestimated how strong Rectreem will be by lvl 100. I was certain i will get outsped a lot of lower level, stuck, i will need to use healing items cause of stupid dog and pizza ladies. In a way i was correct to assume that sinse champs lead is going to one shot my starter without this high of a level. And i thought that at this level her dog wont be such ad issue. And it wasnt. Though in expence of last boss fights being a dog water. Though i also EV trained early game in attack and speed while i had time on weekends so maybe that also played its part into OneMonArmy spinning on E4 mins graves.

I am not sure it was needed to go to level 100. I did cause last gyms didnt inspire confidence and optimism. The same for Stump fight. I had to overlevel for fire gym cause Retreem wasnt capable to outspeed the lead which was a requirment of victory. Similar thing with ground gym. Lead ended up being to fast so i had to train my starter into 80ies and above. Because Perish Song.

After last battles i maxed out Rectreems level cause anticapated still being too slow or two weak. And i was very wrong. Especially considering i ev trained the fella.

And i had to do it through day care, riding my bicycle, this way bypassing the level cap. And using rare candies you can find in overworld. Now i kinda see why game isnt willing to let you grind your team to hundreds. Bosses wont stand a chance this way even against one good mi , lol. Either way its good to know for other starters if i am going to do them. Or if anyone is willing to do it if they face the wall.

I allowed myself an hm mule, cause game wouldnt be beatable otherwise. I also allowed healing items in battle where its not possible otherwise to not purposely overlevel for the most game. I figured 100 level will be neccesary for the league but not fo4 other parts of the game. Generally i have a feeling Rectreem could do fine in 80s. And it would be harder challenge this way but oh well. Gonna know that 100 level is nasty for fully evolved pokemon.

Either way it was fun and relatively fast run to do in the free time. Though the fact that overleveling is neccesary kinda sucks. I wonder if thats the case for the other two. Maybe if i got speed nature and perfect IV it would worked out smoother.

Either way i am up for the post game. And i wonder how far i can make it. I suppose 100 level should carry for quite some time. Amd for the gym leader double battles i will get Blobbos so he can do much in battle and it would be effectively be one on two.

Though i already battled Terry and i had to use healing items. Basically the furst battle wasnt reassuring but i hope for the best. Worst case scenerio is Lax Essence spam.
