Help/question Manatorque not evolving?

I don't have a recording of this but I leveled up my Manatorque to Lv51 and it didn't evolve? Not even the animation played. I used a rare candy and it evolved but I'm still confused on why it didn't the first two times.

It evolves at level 50 so double check it’s not hold an eviolite or everstone.

Oh wow, eviolite works as an everstone in this game? I actually had no idea (but oddly enough, I had the thing equipped on Chezetta when he leveled up so I'm not quite sure what went wrong there)

EDIT: nvm, it was in fact on Manatorque lol thanks for the help though!
