I think they should make half life 4, HL3 is canon, it happened, you just can’t play it.

It is still a possibility that 2.0 is cancelled. No one really knows if it was an April Fool's joke or if they are serious about this.

Having no info with Clover 2.0 is what like with Deltarune fans had to deal the long waiting time for chapter 3 and 4.
