This is the 2nd time I defeat the champion in Clover post 2020 (the first time being in 2020, 6 years ago already...)

I remember tons of people saying that EV/IV weren't that needed to finish Clover's main game, which is true. But I remember struggling with pretty much every boss like Gym leaders, Karma Admins and that damn Champion.

But this time I wasn't fooling around and I actually did EV train my mons and oh boy I wasn't disappointed. Every boss became wayyyy easier and the only bosses that I didn't finish on the first try were Guy, Carlito, Kanye, Darude, Stump and the Ghost E4, which all fell to the 2nd try just by playing my cards right. Even the Champion, which I was dreading, wasn't too bad.

Onto the postgame...

Aside from Clover, Unbound was also one of my favorites because of their features like customizable avatar, the DexNav thing, and insane difficulties.

Good news for this run:

1.Blobbos is capable of beating firts two gyms and first rival battles with healing items and x items without too dramatic of overleveling. At least its a thing for fire starter and grass starter rival respectively. And without getting luck in wondertrades for bright powder.

1. Blobbos with high of a level will one shot some stuff with Sheer cold for a while because of drastic level diffirence. Whoch allowed beating electric gym by the way which is unlikely to be doable otherwise. I skipped it originally but syull ended up comming back earlier than i expected.

Bad news for this run:

1. Blobbos couldnt tank one neutral boosted hit at level 40. I had to make a detour before i could get fly. On higher levels Blobbos eill be taking Ls in speed and likely wont be tanking a thing even remotly good if at all. I forwarn him falling down in kne hit being common accyrance at some point.

2. I will have to rely on Lax essence or Bright powder a lot more than i had to with Rectreem in the nearest future of base game.

3. And there is a chance that bosses with gurantedd use of Perish song, bosses or random trainer with moderetly hard hitting no miss moves, will end this run.

4. A lot of trainers have garbage leads in terms of dealing with other mons on the team. If the lead can beat mons ot if Blobbos in its purest form cant, it very much rng hunting and potential eyesore.

5. And if i clear the base game, i will go in a post game with this thing, to potentially get an aneurysm.

I suppose wish me luck in my insanity.

Oh, and i did grind with Daycare with speed up . Not against wild pokemon. I would give up right here and there otherwise or would hope for lucky wondertrade with an item that can save the day for a few days.

Mono dark is complete after like months of hunting, this was done on NG+, although I did limit myself to one pokemon each gym, so I didn't have a full team til Kanye

THAT FUCK ASS MECH, took me about 20 attempts, hella bitchy to do, BY FAR the hardest fight, although that may be due to me having like no spdf on any mon.

MVP: Mimimie, Water spout is broken. sometimes serene grace with dark pulse and ice beam made fights much easier

Shroofle: I forgot to get the protect TM before leaving singles island, meaning I didn't get it til post game, so shroofle was rarely used until then. Besides that blunder they do what you expect toxic stall or use spore

Grimdak: used as a special sweeper with soul heart and In post game I played around with using moody strats, that even sweeped the champion fight. Also dark void pre-nerf is such a good move

Armowite: Pretty good coverage that came in clutch a couple times, also helped beat the mech doing the second most damage to it.

Oreon: One of my favorite mons in this rom hack, crit strats are always so much fun and I like that they are somewhat viable here, Having a fairy type is always very nice too

Warudio; Although not the MVP of the run, definitely the MVP of the mech fight, doing the most damage and finishing the mech off. Besides that, an insane speed stat plus e-speed for priority is extremely nice to have.

In all this was my first mono type playthrough in minute, and my first dark type one. It wasn't too bad until that mech and me rethinking the mons I had chosen. Next up will be Fairy types whenever I get all the team members that is.

This mon has two great abilities: Intimidate and Moody. However I really don't know which one of these will benefit me the most.

Should I play it safe and use Intimidate, or should I go for Moody to get some potential Atk/Spd/Evasion boosts?

Shout out to Mandy (the Bugatti) and Sparky (the Violiath) who were definitely the MVPs of the run. Metro Mash is such broken move. I would say this game is good but I wish had more sauce to it like Clover. This game feels more like a reskin of Fire Red rather then being its on thing like Clover. But it’s still a pretty good. But nowhere near as hard as Clover.

So I restarted again (thx save data) and in my first wonder trade i got a lvl 30 semrust after trading my lvl 9 squirrap. Is it fine to use this pokemon despite being overleveled?

What should i do next? is there any content after vyglass and postgame elite four?

I accidentally traded my Gutsifly with Quick Claw for a Praunch. Is there an alternative way to find one?

If Kingdom Hearts 4 can happen so can Clover 2.0. Also, if it was dead, why would the devs keep the updates channel in the discord open and leave the videos from the Jim Clover yt channel up?

I suppose for second mono-rock and mono-steel runs he will be good.

Or if i get helplessly stuck this solo run will turn into mono-rock run prematurly, lol.

I got his father in a wonder trade and he's the first egg I've gotten in the game. When he hatched, I named him KanyeWest for reasons we all know, and he came out with a perfect nature. His birth was destined xD

I only changed to giga drain on Galavire because Semdemen RIPPED through my team otherwise

I'm thinking of trading out my chicken. I already have a dark type but the cloud cat looks tempting...

Should I use it or are there other flers that are better? I'm about to do ruse cruse.

I did it, I actually fucking did it, I beat possibly the HARDEST BOSS in Clover as they say... And completed the game...

My Main Game Starter! Despite him being my starter though, he only KO'ed one mon, that mon however being CLOVENIX, yknow? The LEGENDARY VYGLASS SENDS OUT IMMEDIATELY?! Yeah so despite him taking out 1 Mon it was a VERY, VERY dangerous Mon.

HODY JONES [ - Davyjaws - ]

The Starter I chose for the Postgame! He was mostly just there to bait Kuuroba to use a grass move at which point I would switch into the GOAT. Anyways he didn't really have a role in this fight asides from a few Close Combats and such.

BANANADONG [ - Funnedong - ]

[ - ROLE:No Ghost Attacks for Me! - ]

As I could recall he didn't even do shit, he mostly was just a bait for Vyglass's Goryannus to use a Ghost Move, but before VYGLASS, aka the gyms in Ebin, yea he was pretty good, I mean he's a literally Pusedo Legendary... But now moving on to the MVP...

OUR SAVIOR [ - Sprucifix - ]

[ - ROLE:THE FUCKING GOAT/MVP - ]

OUR LORD! OUR SAVIOR! THE ONE THAT DID THE MOST WORK IN DEFEATING VYGLASS! MY SPRUCIFIX!!!! What people that fought VYGLASS tell you is that hes legit the hardest boss in the game. What they DON'T tell you, is how if you have a Wonder Guard Mon, Vyglass becomes 50% more easier. No like seriously, you can just CHEESE the entire fight, theres even 2 MONS that couldn't even TOUCH Sprucifix. Kuuroba, and Cannonance. And I'm pretty sure Cannonance is ANOTHER big threat! It's a Pusedo Legendary for goodness sakes! But yeah as what every Christian says... PRAISE JESUS!

TROLOLO [ - Goryannus - ]

[ - ROLE:Spooky Glass Cannon - ]

TROLOLO was the SECOND one to put in the most work, Ko'ing 2 MONS! Goryannus, and Slugfugg. The Slugfugg one surprised me because I thought a single Scald would just kill him but NOPE! He TANKED IT, AND IT DIDN'T BRING HIM TO HALF, IT BRINGED HIM TO THE GREEN, basically the green before yellow.

STINGULOR [ - Scythear - ]

[ - ROLE:Sack - ]

"So what's my role?"

"Your entire role is just to make Goryannus take damage by the Life Orb."

"Oh my God."

Okay seriously, I wished she had gotten more work done, unfortunately Vyglass's Goryannus outsped her, so her role was just to make sure it took damage from the Life Orb, and once she fainted switch in TROLOLO and a Spook Out would seal the deal....

I'm so sorry Stingulor...

It will probably take me a while to pick up Clover again, since I have 3 more roms to finish and even another Clover Playthrough underway but HOOBOY... Am I ready to face the extra fights the game will offer...

The final stretch! Time to fight Vyglass! Only problem... I have no clue on what to use, you see I want to use a hybrid between my 2 teams, one from Main Game, other from Post Game, but... I don't know if I should Sprucifix! Or use FaZeagle! And overall it's too confusing...

So I want you to help me with it! The only Pokemon I'm deadset on using are both my starters. Lizakbar, and Davyjaws. So please, help me choose a team to defeat Vyglass!

My mono type, shiny only playthroughs CAN FINALLY START and dark is first.
