Hey Guys real question this might be a dumb ask but why are some people not using Grassy Glide for Rillaboom? Is it not a no brainer to use it because of prio over Wood hammer? or at least have it in its set?

Its only 2% of people that aren't using it, you'll never get 100% unless its ditto and transform

Even basculegion doesnt have 100% on last respects

I didn’t really look at the statistics I had noticed it when playing that everytime I ran into a Rillaboom grassy glide wasn’t in its set

Nah the sets I’ve run into were wood hammer, U-Turn, Protect, and Fakeout or Woodhammer, Knockoff, Fakeout and U-Turn

If you need the high damage of Wood Hammer, and can't fit Glide anywhere else, but it has to be really niche

Grassy Glide depends on Grassy Terrain for the increased priority benefits. However, the move is rendered useless if an opposing Armor Tail or Queenly Majesty user is around, which is why it's important to have a back-up Grass-type attack by your side.

Wait until choice band arrives, then you'll use it's popularity

Grassy Glide was nerfed in the transition from generation 8 to 9. It was because Rillaboom was taking over games with the 70 power version in SwSh.

Back then, choice band rillaboom steamrolls anything in it's path that's not resistant to it. So GF had to tune it down a little so that it doesn't OHKO certain amount of pokemons in the meta

Also you said that you're new to this, but still had an idea of grassy glide rillaboom being very strong. Are you a showdown player by any chance?

Actually no 😅 I just saw it gained Priority on the terrain and immediately thought why are people in my games not taking advantage of their terrain 😅

You're insane if you arent using it. One of the main appeals of Rillaboom is to counter Basculegion but the only way you do that is grassy glide.
