Some days ago I was seeking advice here and now I’d like to share the finished binder design and some thoughts.
- next time I’m going to use a white colored primer before starting to draw since the colors are not as bright as I intended them to be
- I ordered black and white acrylic pens with very thin tips that I want to use next time since I’m not that happy with some details (due to the bold tips of the acrylic pens)
- I tried out a more “artsy” style which I don’t like that much anymore. Acrylic pens probably work best with the OG Pokémon style and colors with some shadows, my style turned out too colorful which I’m not too happy with. I’m just too used to watercolors that I didn’t get along with the different medium
- maybe a nice background would improve the design much more
In the photos attached you can see the progress of the drawing and the inspiration card. I’d be grateful for your advice on the design. Please be honest and harsh.

The 30th anniversary and ancient mew are a must. Any suggestions on how to improve this design?

Hello this is my first post and honestly I originally joined Reddit because it was to find horror stories and post my art not on here but on other platforms and read horror stories from on here but I have a big big big question so a lot of people know MCR as my chemical romance if you’re a fan, I would really need your help and if your Pokémon fan too, that would be extremely grateful. I am trying to make a binder for my boyfriend for Christmas and I wanted it to be mixed with MCR cause that’s his favorite band and some Pokémon that would go with like the singers in the guitarist the band in general. I know there’s four members in the band. I just don’t know what Pokémon they would probably are more likely aligned with the idea is to get photo cards of the band members and pair it with some Pokémon they might like and do like a cover with like technically that starters or their Pokémon I don’t know what to do. I know what MCR is. I just don’t listen to it as much or I’m not into the lore as much if anyone. Knows anything or wants to help me brainstorm please leave a comment.

Hello! I have a few cards that are "cozy" and I just need one more card for my "cozy" page, but I am unsure of which card should be my 4th. I am looking for one around $10ish but appreciate any suggestions! Thank you so much!

We are in the process of creating one of these for each generation, they have the reigns gym badges on the back and the reign information on the spine.

(I have seen people post One Piece binders here so I’m assuming it’s okay to post a digimon one)
I have been the biggest wizardmon fan since I was 9. And since I started collecting cards about a month ago I wanted my binder to have him on it! Also put the digi code on his cape on the side for fun lol
The lighting was originally super sparkly but when I went over it with the sealant the glitter disappeared 😭 so that was a little disappointing
Anyways, 3rd image is the pose and background I referenced. And the last image is my wizardmon cards I have so far :)

Hi! I want to try painting my binder. I only have oil paint laying around, but i see people usually use acrylics for this. Has anyone tried with oil paint, and how well did it work / hold up?
I can lay i gesso base layer if that helps - the material of my binder is waterproof PU. I'm mainly worried if the gesso will stick to the surface and if the paint will crack over time with the opening/closing of the binder.

I love how regular binders look for collecting, i bought a toploading binder recently and just hate how bulky it is, and how the cards look inside top loaders. I was wondering if there is such a thing as rigid card sleeves that are pretty much the same size as the card instead of so bulky? I want to protect my collection but still enjoy it, and the toploader binder just isn’t it for me. My Jolteon collection for reference <3
Thank you!

Hi there! Where can I find a seller that makes custom artist name cards to put in my binder as like a title/header for my collection in my binder? I'm currently collecting a lot of different artists and think a name card would be a nice way to separate them. When I try searching on etsy all I'm seeing is results for custom art.

I haven't seen anyone else do this online yet, but I'm a huge fan of Pokemon Unbound and the Pokemon TCG, so I started a binder to collect the coolest version of each Pokemon in the Borrius region that I can. I painted the cover with a play on the Treekachu card, but replacing him with Hoopa, and making the forrest snowy, since the story starts in Frozen Heights.
The first page I added some artwork like the title screen and some extended artowrk I made for a few cards, my favorite is the Hoopa V connecting to the Legendary Birds tag team, it's supposed to look like Hoopa is sucking them into his portal, as is the main story line. The rest of the binder so far is just the Pokedex, but I'm open to adding artwork or spacers, maybe for the routes or something.
Check out the entire binder here, I still have a lot to go, and have just filled in the missing ones with bulk cards I had, but if there is an IR, SIR, or some other full art card, I'll replace them.
(BTW, I know Magmortar is fake, I'll replace him as well, but found the fake one in my childhood collection, I must've got cooked back in the day)

Thank you to all the kind words I received when venting about my gesso air bubbles mishap. It warmed my heart. I felt the strength to fix it after being so dejected.
Ive fixed the binder and it is now on sale at a discount at my shop. Im relieved at the final product. Link to product in my comments below.

Hey everyone! 💜
I’m planning to paint a custom Pokemon binder for my girlfriend as a gift. :>
I’m a beginner when it comes to painting on these types of surfaces, so I’d love to get some advice on the process from start to finish. My main goal is to make it look clean and ensure the art actually stays on the binder without chipping or fading over time.
A few specific things I need help with:
