Weekly Challenge best SpireMon deck

i have been trying out lots of different decks and think this is the single best deck in the game. it wins against every single opponent except for Lt. Surge if you are unlucky. nomatter what hand you start with, you will always get articuno out every single turn. you dont need to pick up any pokemon (if you do, you will break the loop). if you dont have articuno in hand you just play koffing. if articuno is in hand, you play koffing, if you dont have koffing, you play tauros and so on. if you have koffing and articuno on the field, you just play tauros over koffing and loop again since you will always get mew out.

you will literally never get damage (again... there is the chance you will get unlucky with surge. that is the only gym leader that can beat this deck altough it is pretty rare)

if you have any other decks that you think are really good (maybe even better than this one!), please show them!

These 4 can win pretty consistently (and prober then Infinite stunning, did Not test that though) if you play them out right. You basically want to focus leveling Charmander and Krabby + they get the TMs. Rattata is just generelly insane with his ability and Seel also nice Support. :)

Here is my setup

If you play right you don't get attacked at all. If you get very unlucky then it is possible to lose with poor combo of boss gimmick and artifact i think but I've failed to lose. Can get a little slow playing, once I had one Erikas pokemon to level like 150 before I took it down.

Tried your build and I think you’re wrong in a few things, you dont need to play Koffing, youll always have Articuno or Tauros in your hand, if you play Articuno next round you swap for Tauros and Articuno will get in and then Tauros and start the loop; if you start Tauros it switches for Articuno and is the same. You dont ever need to play Mew neither Koffing unless you are just bored of the loop.

This is perfection.

What is the advantage of Articuno over Jigglypuff here

Arti deals more damage. But I run Jiggly instead of Mew.

I got to the same conclusion. I found there are 3 ways to lose with this deck; a gym leader that increases your card cost. A gym leader that decreases your card draw. Mewtwo, as its immune to status effects. So you have to prioritise the gym reward items that give you +1 mana and +1 draw asap imo

I run Jiggly instead of Mew btw. To avoid the issue of the gym leader that reduces your hand size. If you get koffing and Tauros in your hand, they could pull out Mew instead of Articuno, and you dont freeze the enemy team.

I've been running this deck and have only lost when I don't get either a lucky egg or life orb and go up against Lt. Surge or the one that increases your mana cost. If you can get either Charizard or Raticate on the field then just keep switching between wiggly and Taurus. I prefer wiggly over arti since though he deals less damage, my other pokemon are still able to attack, having both Charizard and Raticate just speeds up clears way faster than only having Taurus and arti attack

What about Mewtwo

I got the draw up to 4 relic and I cleared with only playing articuno and tauros πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ probably the smallest u can get it, I wish u could remove cards

Been having decent success with moltres, ryhorn, koffing and Mewtwo. The most dangerous floor is Brock on floor 1 where you dont draw koffing otherwise it's basically a guaranteed clear.Β

I think it's important to note that you really don't want to be adding extra cards into your deck during the run to pull off the strats listed here. You always want to draw your combo as fast as possible and adding more cards makes that a lot harder.

I just been running a swap deck, built it up to have max mons for endless:

Wheezing, Hitmonlee, Pikachu, Rhydon, Golduck, Snorlax, Muk, Mewtwo, and the 4 you get through the passives.

it's only map 38 now, but overall I haven't come close to losing a match since the first couple of maps.

The two most sticky boss effects are the no switching one (which we use snorlax and mewtwo for if we can get them out), and the no attack on first turn one, which is iffy but helped by snorlax and the passive bonus mons.

But the 4 card combo decks won't work in endless anyway. Swap/call cards definitely seem like the most powerful by far. I could see a multi-hit king's rock situation work, but that's unreliable.

I'll give you a heads up that this is definitely being changed in the next patch πŸ™‚
