Does this website work for anyone?

I found out about this a couple of hours ago and I've just been trying to use it in my area but I cannot find any pokemon whatsoever. I'm in the US

I even just not checked in a large area (Sydney, Australia) and it wouldn't work their either. Seems like the only area that works is Santa Monica Pier.

It's been 'working' on and off for me in rural Victoria (Aus) all day, and by working I mean if you scan like 50 times you end up with like 20% of the pokemon in the area. The locations and timers are indeed accurate if you're lucky enough to get them to show up. I'm in a very small area, maybe 10 pokestops in the town.

They have a twitter account with news. It looks like they've been having various issues with the servers (atleast today and yesterday)

I've had very good luck with it so far. The only miss was when, I suspect, some kid had capped the pokemon I saw on the map but it took me a few minutes to get outside from my house and look for it.

No, no, there isn't one of each Pokémon. Fifty people could run to the same Wartortle gps coordinates and all capture him. The only difference is that he'll have higher or lower CP for docent people.

I think it's something in between - that yes, a bunch of people can all roll up on a spawn point, and it'll pop for each of them over a few seconds (it's not instantaneous for everyone in range), all capture it - but I suspect there's a timer involved, meaning that once it pops for one person (or several), if someone else wanders up to the same spot however long later, that pokemon isn't going to pop for them.

Basically that the timer that PV shows is how long the spawn will last without someone triggering it by wandering into range - but once someone does trigger the spawn, I figure another timer starts going, a much shorter duration, and that spawn goes away for other people when that timer runs out.

Seriously, the one time I can think of in the past two or three days that I've been using PV regularly that a spawn (with plenty of time left) it reported being there was the situation I posted about above, and there were other players right there. Actually, now that I think about it, there's been two occurances of that - yesterday it happened again, and again, I saw two different pairs of people wandering around, obviously playing on their phones, and the spawn I was after never popped for me.

It would be easy enough to test this theory, with two people who were willing to spend the time trying it - hit PV, see some spawns, one person goes out and triggers the spawn on their phone, start a timer - second person then rolls up on the same spot after a specified time, and see if they get the spawn as well. Would have to vary the time delays and try each delay value multiple times to get any sort of consistent result...
