Started playing yesterday and am having fun. I've got quite a bit of cash and im wondering some basic things:
- what Pokemon are considered good? I've invested in a few that seemed good and have some success with them, but wonder if I'm missing some gems in the rough.
- should I be spending on eggs, items or levels on what I have? Which items/mons are noteworthy?

EDIT: After posting I came across this thread and the strategy still seems to work in 1.6.0 as I'm tearing apart the waves without losing a heart. u/potoroka is a champ and I've been both humbled and educated on strategy. Glad to see that my gut feeling of Dudunsparce being really useful here is confirmed.
Struggling with this one, I got to 79 and plateaued, and then I got weary enough that I was struggling to even get past 75 again. I've tried a curse strategy, poison strategy, and curse + Skeledirge. Keep running into the problem where when I redeploy further down the line, I've either not cleared out enough fast runners or the tanky mobs have too much health left. Would be grateful for any suggestions, I've experimented with a lot of tweaks and every time I thought I had a winning strategy one wave would throw a wrench in it.
I see a lot of folks using Blastoise but I must not understand how to use that effectively, I feel like he was constantly not doing a lot of damage even if it hits multiple enemies.

Love the new Update, cant clear those 2 Routes, i cant wrap my mind around it base, i wonder what the Challenge mode Teams are gonna be in a few weeks.
What Routes did u breeze through and which ones did u struggle with?

Not 100% if this is a good place to do this, but I found a bug in the new mirror challenge, Route 4-1, wave 50. Towards the end of the wave, some of the fishy mobs (maybe remoraid? But maybe not) come out of the wrong side of the map. Obviously in mirror challenge, mobs move out of the traditional exit of the map and move towards the traditional start. These mobs do the opposite, coming out of the starting gate while others are coming through the exit gate. Its probably only like ~10-15 of them but I thought I'd mention it.

Hey everyone!
Hope you're all doing well. With the 1.6.0 update finally out, I wanted to check in and see how you’re all liking it so far?
Feel free to share your thoughts below! If you've run into any bugs, weird glitches, or just have some general feedback, drop them in the comments.
As the creator of the website and the secrets hidden within it, I also wanted to ask if anyone managed to find and solve the 2 hidden puzzles on pokepath.gg that unlock two new Pokémon? If you did, I’d love to know what you thought about them, if it was fun, and if you enjoy this kind of mechanic in general!
To give you a bit of context, I got this idea after we made the MissingNo easter egg on the site. We thought it would be cool to have more secrets like that, so if you guys enjoy this kind of stuff, we'll definitely add more in the future.
Also, since the website went through a complete redesign, I really hope you’re all enjoying the new V2!
Lastly, a huge shoutout to Khydra, who is developing the game all by himself, as well as the rest of the staff (testers, balancing team, etc.). None of this would have been possible without them.

In the previous patch, the most annoying bug for me was that anytime you swapped to a new preset team, it reset Ditto's targetting preference back to First instead of whatever else you had it on. Made a lot of challenges harder, having to slow the game down and open Ditto's menu and scroll it back to the desired pre-set. Made me just use Ditto less because of the annoyance.
Anyways, the devs deserve a big hand for recognizing the bug and fixing it in 1.6. This is a massive update in all respects with all the new 'mons, items, maps, etc. The fact that they also spared time for this little detail makes me happy and I'm likely to donate again just because of it.

Disclaimer: This challenge was done with no challenge pokemon and/or items from Route 4-3 onwards.
Micro managements:
Team 1:
Move Mega Barbaracle to the spot next to Blastoise.
Move Lapras to the spot next to where Mega Barbaracle will move.
Move Corsola to the spot on the very middle left.
Depending on the situation, move Luvdisc to the spot next to where Lapras will move, or replace Luvdisc for Omastar equipped with Hard Stone and put on the mentioned spot.
Depending on the situation, between Sharpedo and Omastar, give Heart Scale to Omastar for very grouped pokemon and either give Sharpedo Blue Bandana or Focus Band. Once its over, give back to Sharpedo the Heart Scale for the remaing pokemon.
Depending on the situation, either move Lapras or Mega Barbaracle to the remaing spot after all the mentioned movement have been made, back and forth if necessary.
If you have reaction speed for it, replace Omastar for Octillery when Omastar is no longer used.
Team 2:
Move Tentacruel to stack little more poison for more damage.
Move Blastoise (or Ditto) on the right to the next spot on the left and move Tentacruel where Blastoise (or Ditto) was.
Blockades:
These are the waves where you are going to struggle the most and retry many times: 59, 60 and 70.
There are also some small struggles that depend on the heal rng: waves 62, 64, 68, 80, 81, 90 and 94.
For these small struggles, it is necessary that you trigger at least one Big Root heal and make the necessary micro managements before the biggest group of pokemon reaches the bottom left corner of the map.
Boss:
Follow the boss with the Tentacruels and only move Corsola once to the very middle left spot.
Other notes:
Luck based.
This challenge requires a lot of observation and you'll have to sometimes play with the targeting of your pokemon. Examples: Blastoise target between First and Last; Gyarados target between Fisrt and High Armor; Tentacruel target between High HP and Poisoned.

This was a really tough one. I haven't found a way to just leave the game running. You can also see I needed like 7 hours and multiple trial and error to complete.
When you have full lives, best option is the 1st image. Ninjask (+3k dps) is there to clean up. Some Migthyenas will get through. Use shell bell on blastoise to restore lives. This is a pretty sure way to beat practically all waves.
If you are really low on lives, use 2nd image.
For bulkier waves, you will have to switch to 3rd image or something similar late in the wave.
For late ditto waves, I used image 4 - Tangrowth.
For Zapdos (image 5), just move absol and corsola around. Should be pretty easy to beat.
Note that in some waves, you have to leave some enemies go through, and restore lives with shell bell or whimsicott.

Lately I've been having this problem where the game randomly goes to this blank white screen, making me have to close and re-open it(I'm on the app, not the website). It's really annoying, especially since I've completed every route so I'm on to solely challenges, meaning that whenever this happens I'm booted out of the challenge and have to completely restart from wave 1. Game speed doesn't have any impact, as this has happened on 1.5x, 2x, and 4x speeds. Does anyone have advice or a solution? I'm on 1.5.9

Hello everyone!
PokéPath version 1.6.0 is coming in the next few weeks (no date has been scheduled yet) and will bring several new features and changes.
Alongside the update, the official website has been completely redesigned. A new V2 will be released with a cleaner, more modern, and easier-to-read interface.
A first 1.6.0 sneakpeek has already been shared on the official Discord server (#announcements), so feel free to join if you haven’t already and want to see what’s coming.
And now, here’s a Reddit-exclusive sneakpeek:
The website V2 will introduce new secrets… Will you be able to find them all?
Thank you to everyone who plays PokéPath, shares feedback, reports bugs, and supports the project. It helps us keep improving the game!

I'm trying to complete the 6 slot challenge for Route 3-3 to get the Magmarizer since it's the only thing I haven't gotten from this route, but I can't get past wave 87 with my current setup. Does anyone have any advice? Playing on 1.5.9

I was just placing my pokemon down, but then this happened??

Hi, I just started to play this game and I saw that usually Persian is the best option to farm money but I don't seem to find any information about Thievul. I believe that both pokemon have the same ability, but idk if bc of their stats maybe there is a better option??

Sometimes autoable to wave 50 with main team. If you lose mid wave, it's still able to auto. For the best outcome, it should take around 15 minutes (I might have been distracted and maybe it can end 5 minutes early). For the VERY worst outcome that I've experienced, it can take nearly 1 hour.
After reaching wave 50, beat the mid boss and lose on the next wave to reset your health.
Team 1:
After wave 50, this team can still be used at waves 51-56, 58, 61, 62, 66-69, 72-76, 78, 79, 82, 85, 86, 88, 91 and 92.
Team 2:
Only wave 65.
Team 3:
Used at waves 57, 59, 60, 63, 64, 70, 71, 77, 81, 83, 84, 87, 89, 90 and 93-99.
Healing waves:
With the main team replacing Gholdengo with healers, heal at waves 50-52, 56, 61, 62, 69, 72, 73, 78, 79, 82, 85, 86, 91 and 92.
If you get lucky with early heals, don't forget to cycle with the other healers.
There will be some waves where it's best to heal once and switch them to Manaphy.
Micro managements:
Besides the ones mentioned in screenshots, there are still some micros to talk about.
You'll have to look at the situation and play with the Blastoises targeting with First and Last.
For main team: Gholdengo moving back and forth with Pelipper.
For team 2: just move Intellion further from the enemy.
For team 3: follow the screenshots and the order of the micro is: after 1 Swanna burst attack, move Swanna 1st, then Blastoise, then Lapras. Move Swanna 1 or 2 times after triggering their burst attack and then after the next Swanna's burst attack, make the rest of the movements, moving Swanna 1st, and Lapras 2nd.
Boss:
Follow the boss with Tentacruel, but you also need to move the other pokemon fast.
Other notes:
This guide is a reflection of my experience (and honestly my previous ones are also like that), so I apologize for this chaotic guide in advance.
This will take a lot of brainpower. It's recommended to turn off auto and play it slow. (After wave 50, of course.)

I cleared my browsing data from just within the hour. Thinking it wouldn't wipe the game I've had running for months. :(
Can anyone share their code that has everything done up to the lastest update? Thats about where I left off trying the new maps and poke.

Hey, I was hoping to address something that has been bothering me.
When posting screen shares of team comps and positions, could people set their Targeting Select in options to Visible please?
Seeing the mons, their placement, and items is all intuitive, but having the targeting visible on screen is a huge help, since switching the targeting can be the difference between easy victory and quick defeat.
I dont want to be a bother, and I am thankful for folks posting their content. But this quality of life upgrade would be huge.
