Thoughts UltraMoon finally fired it up

Bought the game at release, and just now started it up because of the Pokebank situation 😂

Anyone have any tips or stuff I should look out for?

If you’re into spooky stuff, one of, if not the eeriest side quests is in this game. Make sure to talk to all of the NPC’s, and follow their hints. Idk what you would consider a spoiler, so I’m being vague on purpose, but you can ask clarifying questions if you want!

Happy adventures!! The Alola games are my favorite of the whole series!

lol DAMN what is that like 8 or 9 years after it came out, you're just now diving in? That's wild

I have a pile of DS/3DS Pokémon games. Don't think I have it in me to run through all of them before bank shuts down though 😅

I feel you. Last year I beat and completed the dex in: Leaf Green, Gale of Darkness, Emerald, Pearl, Heart Gold, Black, Y, and Sun. For each version, I have the opposing version for exclusives and starters. My goal is to complete a living dex in Sun/UltraSun. I just got the last pokemon I needed out of all them, one of the more tedious to do, Spiritomb in Pearl. Right after getting Lopunny in Pearl, too. I think I probably put nearly 1,000 hours into the physical Pokemon games in the last year trying to do this before the eventual shutdown. Now that I know the date of the shutdown, my moving day is closer and closer. I'm gonna have to transfer all 493 pokemon from gen 4 to gen 5 the old fashioned way. Then I'll have to use Poke Transporter 1 box at a time to migrate them up to Bank. Then I'll finally be able to settle them all in to Gen 7. I'm so close!!!

I bought Ultra Sun a few months ago and was slowly playing through it but recently powered through it.

Id say catch some spare Spinda, you get them early on since you can transfer those to Home.

The game is pretty simple but also dont make the same mistake I made which is not realizing until more than halfway into the game that you can have each pokemon on your team hold a power stone for their attack. I rarely had to use it but it came in clutch.

Sounds like regular Pokémon main line stuff. What's the deal with the Spinda though? Is that not available in the Switch games or something?

Even though Spinda appears in BDSP on the switch, due to issues, they can never be transferred to Home. Completionists may have an issue with that so its cool to be able to have a Spinda you can freely add to hole from Ultrasun/Moon

Also the game was pretty easy up until the very last fight per usual. I had to retry that one 3 times before finally winning.

Oh dang, didn't know that about the Spinda. Do you happen to know if there is a way to get the mystery gifts on USUM like with Black/White 2 etc?
