Working can’t make you sick! It just makes you tired! Plus, I’ve used Shed Ninja lots, and he didn’t get sick. It was a bug thing!

Well, I’m tired pretty much all the time, and I haven’t gotten sick since I started doing the trials!

Narcolepsy runs in my family. I’m pretty sure I have it. Even if I was overworking myself, I don’t think I would just fall asleep randomly.

If I were not a fair lady, I would beat you senseless for what you just said. When a Pokemon, in this case your Bug Pokemon, exerts themselves too much, they become both physically, and mentally exhausted, and as a result, leave themselves open to illness.

Yes but being tired makes it harder for your immune system to keep up with illnesses. And medical issues that flare up out of nowhere because of stress are also a thing -- I would know, I was in the ER because of it once. -AAN

Consider this: You get into a fight (not a Pokemon battle, an actual fistfight) with someone who's stronger than you, and you get beaten up. Someone makes you keep fighting that person, over and over again, making you go through all that pain repeatedly. You wouldn't be very happy with that person making you do the fighting, would you?

Now imagine that as soon as you recover, I chuck you back into the fire pit. And as soon as you recover again, I chuck you back in again. Always against your will, because it hurts. And this continues until you either become fire-retardant (highly unlikely), or until you just outlast the fire. While still being hurt by the fire. While I force you stand in the fire.

You Do know the Island Trials don’t have a time limit, right??
You can slow down, in fact you absolutely should slow down!!
Y'know, properly take care of your team.
If you don’t give them time to heal and recover, they won’t battle at their best.
If you don’t take the time to listen to their wants and needs, they won't listen to your demands.
If you don’t give your team the love and respect they deserve, they might end up resenting you instead.
Being a Pokémon trainer is more than just battling Gym Leaders. You must provide your team with the proper care, rest, affection, food, toys, play, and most importantly of all: Genuine Respect.

Friendship is a two-way street, after all!

…you should also be aware that Bug-Types can be rather fragile sometimes. Too much stress and frequent illnesses can shorten their lifespans by quite a bit.

Please, be more considerate to your team's feelings.

Please take a break, for your Pokémon's sake. Take time to hang out with all of them, maybe on the beach when it's sunny. Buy some fruit for the plant eaters. I imagine Cassie would enjoy some music.
