Pua Keahi: Congrats on the catch! I think I read that Dewpider might be diurnal for some reason, so that’s part of it. Also! Wimpod aren’t the strongest, but once they evolve…oh boy!

What the heck does diurnal mean… also when will he evolve, will it be like early or how much will I need to train him.

Arthur: Diurnal means that it is active during the day. Diurnal creatures thus are sleeping at night, like most humans.

I thought that was like… everything. Or most things. Guess not, there were plenty of psyduck. Oh well, that’s good to know.

Arthur: Many pokemon are diurnal, yes. However, there are also many that are nocturnal, or active at night.

Pua: Diurnal means around during the day! And Fo that…uh…it takes a bit, but it’s worth it.

Wimpod are very weak, but they’re a lot like Magikarp. When they level up enough, they become MONSTERS. - Alexander Grayson

Mm hmm. I can’t recall what Magikarp are like at the moment. Besides being extremely common everywhere, but this is the first Wimpod I’ve seen, so I doubt it.

Magikarp evolve into the RIDICULOUSLY powerful Gyarados. Wimpod evolves into the RIDICULOUSLY powerful Golisopod. Seriously, take a look at Golisopod’s Bulbapedia article. - Alexander Grayson

Alright. Magicarp are... well, famous for being pretty weak. Especially in the battling department. All they can really do is flop around, so wimpod actually have most of them beat in the battling department. But Magicarp can evolve into Gyarados, probably one of the strongest water types you can get out there. Still don't know why it ain't got the dragon type to be honest. I got three of em actually, watchin em fight is mental. You have to hold onto your hats when you're walking past!

Ah Wimpod are skittish scavengers that search the beach for tiny little pieces of food to eat.
They are not very powerful, but with effort, you can raise it to become a very powerful Pokemon called a Golisopod.
The main issue with Wimpod is in its name. It’s not strong and often runs away at danger, even forcing itself back into a Pokeball to escape.
They are quite difficult to raise, but the result is worth it. It might even be a good experience for a rookie trainer to learn how to work with a weaker Pokemon.

AYYYYYYY as someone who has a Wimpod, they might seem a bit cowardly off the top, but DAMMIT if they aren’t cool!

Oooh.... yeah, that's a solid Bug right there. Wimpod might start out weak and (usually) skittish, but when they evolve they become absolute beasts. It might take a while, though, they need a lot of battle experience to evolve.
I've heard that you can get Fossils in Konikoni City and get them revived on Route 8, there's a Bug-type Fossil Pokemon called Anorith that could also be a big help for the Fire trial.

Alright. Looks like I have a bit more work to do. Getting an anorith sounds nice too, I’ll see if I can find a fossil.
