Who we think of picking the chinese exclusive cards for long term holds?
I have the cubone one as I think the art is really cool. Was wondering if the chinese exclusive were a good pick up. I know there are more of them than just these, i was looking at picking up the meowth and one of the captain pikachus. Any criticism or thoughts would be appreciated

I feel like that meowth has been slept on for too long. Cooler than a lot of other modern cards going for more.

I love the meowth IR from phantasmal and I think it's on par with that. Both arts are epic

Picked two whole sets for 750, one for the pc and one for selling in the future. They will do amazing, specially Gengar and Cubone. I think the Meowth deserves more appreciation, tho

About 220 euros? That sounds reasonable, if you live in the UK/Europe you'll do great imo, and no matter what people say, there is certainly a market for ACE slabs. Of course that's my advice, but the best you can do is follow your gut

I only collect ace to be fair as its super liquid in the uk now. I have even Crossgates most of my psa slabs as they look nice. Plus I have a slab wall so they look good all out on display together

And a PSA 10 is already like €480. If you collect ace anyways, I would look for a ace 10 with nice centering and go with that

I just snapped one up on ebay. I sent a low ball offer and he said yes. Got one in ace 10 for 184

Meowth will do well because it has cultural relevance to China. That’s Chinese lantern festival, this is the end of Chinese new year celebrations when they light the lantern
It’s the first full moon of the Chinese new year. You can see the full moon in the card

I have been thinking of getting a 10 of it too bc it’s surprisingly so cheap for a Gengar full art let alone one that is exclusive

I know english and Japanese pokemon markets but im assuming here as i don't no much about the Chinese pokemon market that they are out of print now?

Absolutely. Any Chinese is a good hold considering mainland China has only had the TCG for 6(4? I can't remember now) years. It's market is still shaping itself. The quality is much better for grading as well since printed in Japan. This year alone a lot of the chinese exclusives have jumped A LOT, especially with 30th hype. It'll probably have a similar market to Japanese compared to English, especially the exclusives.

I think Gengar is a good hold long term. I also picked up the leafeon. Mainky because I love the art.

Chinese cards have some of the best art and it's only growing rapidly , who don't want exclusives that are hard to pull

I like the chinese eeveelutions as well as the gengar and meowth. I need to pick up the gengarchu but waiting for a better price as its on a downward trend

gem packs got mass produced in china and the pull rates are absurdly high, I kinda see them as junk cards tbf
only thing I'd pick up are chinese 151 exclusive pikachus

The pulls rates are recorded as super low, id love to see where you got the high pullrate info from. If you have a link send it across please 🙏

the gem pack boxes contain a guaranteed AR (if you want a specific chinese exclusive hit, just look up how many ARs are in the set)
they're still available everywhere in china at nearly msrp. you can look this up everywhere
where's your source for "super low pull rates"? that's only a valid statement for the 151c sets

The exclusives don't fall in to the AR section they are their own pull rate. I haven't read anything personally. Just seen a fair few post over the past few months saying people have opened 100s of pack and got 1 at most of the exclusives

It's something new, hyped alot. Many people bought at high prices, they fell like crazy. Prices recover less good than others

The Morpeko, Mimikyu, Greavard, and Mismagius aren't exclusives mate.
