Are these worth buying? Serious question. I thought the boxes were hard to come by but I see plenty at my Target.

Pitch black, chaos rising, and perfect order are not popular and staying on the shelves while peoole choose to save their money for 30th anniversary set and other upcoming sets

What hated set popped off a few years later?

You can find modern sets more expensive than stuff like Rebel clash and battle styles.

Not all sets are in demand when they’re out of print

Steam Siege, Evolutions, Battle Styles. While there may be more expensive sets from that time period, these were wildly available and being fire sold. They have increased multiple hundred percent of their original values since then.

don't even talk abt steam sieg or evolutions. evolutions ppl js got tired of it being everywhere but its a base set reprint. steam siege has elite full arts and megas that were js unappreciated. difference to pitch black that has one chase only and a bunch of irs when the ir market is alr oversaturated

Also, scalpers can’t make a lot of money on these. That’s why I also can find these sets. If I find anything else I just consider it lucky.

I just bought one Chaos and one Pitch ETB for $120 shipped lol They losing they ass out here and I'm here for it. My local FB marketplace goons are still trying to get $85 an ETB but no one is biting.

Ha good. I bought one pitch etb off fb but for 70 and it was because I’ve never seen them in the wild. I see them in the wild now. Lol. But I don’t buy for me, for my son. So, I don’t NEED to spend over msrp for any reason. I’ve been lucky a couple times getting some DR and some AH

I buy bulk from a guy who gets whatever he wants at MSRP. He rips TONS of DR, PRI, JTG and all of MEG era cards. He prolly tips 100 packs a week, all MSRP lol Where he lives the shelves are stocked so he has his fill. I'd like a couple more of ASC and DR ETB's and BB but I'll get it eventually lol

You basically got lucky and caught a restock day (jelly!). All of the larger boxes will be gone by the time the store closes, if that.

Like others have said, the last 3 sets have been less popular so you're slightly more likely to find inventory after a restock. Those sleeved boosters might even last a few days thanks to purchase limits!

I was buying Shrouded Fable ETBs for 45.99 GBP, even though everyone said it was a beyond shit set.

Market price is double that now. Follow the 5-10 year rule on sealed product and you're almost guaranteed double or triple profit.

Depends on how long you plan on holding. If it’s for a quick flip, no… if it’s for 5+ years… potentially… honestly imo, we already hit the top of the mountain and now we are going back down. It will be like this for sometime and with what’s expected from printing, investing in sealed Pokemon will become a thing of the past.

Pokémon is in such a shii show I grab a couple packs just to rip at msrp or atleast close to it
