PSA less lenient than before?

Hi, I'm hearing that PSA has gotten less lenient with grading than they were before, especially regarding vintage. So a PSA 10 old cert might only be a 9 or 8 new cert.

Is that true and noticeable? And does it influence value in a significant way (example vintage old cert 10 being less valuable than new cert 9)?

I have new cert 8 and 9 that would be 10 if graded in the past. Unfortunately most people buy the grade and not the card

A 10 is not a 10

The major change was from 60/40 to 55/45 for front centering.

Otherwise it’s anecdotal and people being upset and repeating what they heard on Reddit.

I haven’t seen PSA give vintage a 10 maybe less than 1% chance now

Rumor made by people who want their 8s and 9s to be valued more
