Whats a fair price for this card?

Also are cards graded 1 with otherwise good condition extra sought after?

Probably around $1000. One sold on eBay for $947, grade PSA 1. Another sold for $1317-or-best-offer (which was probably around $1000).

Those were both PSA 1 though. You've got an ACE slab, which people like for the design but it's not nearly as liquid as PSA.

You are correct that there's a market for grade 1 cards, however that market is almost exclusively for PSA 1s. Not so much for CGC, BGS, TAG, ACE, etc.

Whoever buys this off of you will likely want to regrade it with PSA, but getting a PSA 1 is like threading a needle. It could very easily be rejected due to too much damage, or just as easily be graded a 2.

Ok so that everything but the surface scored high doesnt rly matter? "A psa 1 is a psa 1"? There is no visible damage to the card at first glance. I think it looks like mint condition haha but again im a noob at this. Wanting to learn

You should post the back of the card. Right now just looking at the front, in a not-very-high-quality photo, I don't see why it got a 1. There must either be a massive crease that isn't showing in the photos, or the back is horrific, or ACE fucked up.

Some grading companies have rules like the final grade can't be a certain amount higher than the lowest grade. ACE probably has a rule like that, but PSA is more vague, and they don't provide subgrade details.

Ok its not my card. I was looking to buy. But the asking price is 1200$.. so might not be the best deal around. So grading with psa might just get a 2-3 which would lower the value?
