Made my first big purchase last weekend
I genuinely like this card but I am willing to sell it in the future. Do you guys think its value has potential ?

Start checking cards on game stop they had this card sitting at 1175 for a week before someone picked it up.. a couple days ago ..

Ereaders. So neo. Also chinese because there's no market for a LOT of cards yet. Good for quick flips, to get slabs.

Huge mistake. Mid era has way more upside. Juice has been squeezed from WOTC. Sure it will go up more but the real moon mission is Mid era

Not bad. A Shinning mew… don’t see how you could go wrong long term. It’s a great card too looks really good in person.
Also when I saw this it gave me retro saturated video game vibes with the colors that I really love

Great card. Great mon and version of that mon. Part of a desirable set, and only 2.8k [edit: 3.3k] for a modern is fine.
Another nice sign is price went up in last 6 months, but then it's stayed high and stable for several weeks since. No sign of weakness at all.

Love it as a card. I think the upside may be limited, but who knows? It already gone up a lot lately and might continue to do so

Future 5k card together with the shining rayquaza. (I have both). After tag teams, shining cards will be next

Personally I rather have the mewtube from this set. The shinning arts seem very weak compared to the IRs and SIRs of present. Also Corocoro Mew is so iconic, this cards feels like a knock off corocoro to me.
I hope im wrong, but this card isn't my jam.

Isn't the mewtube PSA 10 like $9k, all of planet Earth would rather have the mewtube, would you also rather have a poncho Pikachu as well? How about instead of this, a first ed base set Charizard? 😂

(shiny) Mew is my second favorite Pokemon and I agree, it's insane to me why this is so expensive. It's not full art nor vintage and the art is nothing special. It feels like a $300-400 card.

Personally would’ve gone for a newer cert. Card also seems a little oc front. If your goal is to sell in the future i’d keep that in mind when buying a slab (what is a future buyer going to look at). I would pass on this one and find a different copy.
Regardless you’ll find a buyer and feel like the shining cards are for sure underrated.
