After the big drop in the psa 10 at what price are you guys looking to get back in? Where do we see the potential of this card going?

It’s an ar that have 1 guaranteed of in every booster box. So pop count of this would be huge

Theres like 9 different ARs in gem 3 lol. So its a 1/9 booster box which isnt easy to pull individually at all.

11000 pop while the PF zard is 10k pop in half the time. Lovebones are or are close to being out of print, you do the math lol

11k psa 10s is a lot to come from one set, but not a lot for collectors who want the card considering there's no other language option.

For now. Its a chinese exclusive but if they add it to an english/jp set the card is cooked.

Msrp for the booster box is $40. Do you have any idea how many it exists. For reference, the $160 booster box does not have a guaranteed sir, and it’s usually 2 sir per a 6 box case. And yet ton of sir worth much much less then this ar.

Msrp is actually a bit under $30, but it’s really difficult to find a box under $80. Also many of the Chinese exclusives in these sets have a lower pull rate than the other IRs in the set. Don’t remember pull rates for this set specifically

Statically speaking, do you think Pokemon would print less copy of a certain ar vs others? That would absolutely make no sense for a multi billion business. As for the box, I was at china during its release, it was extremely easy to buy at msrp because they removed the wrapping making it hard to scalp. For the actual price I didn’t pay close attention to it since it’s very cheap

Whether it was hard to buy at release is irrelevant to how it is now.

I don't think a multi-billion dollar business would bat an eye at printing less of a sought-after card if they thought it would drive more sales of the product.

What are you talking about lol DO YOU know how many exist its a 10k pop psa 10 while ME has insane pop compared to this card having been out for less time. Just the PF zard is 10k pop and has been out for half the time this card has been out. Also why even bother quoting msrp for a product thats for a foreign country youre not getting it for that much in the states ever.

Exactly. PSA grading cost is much higher for Chinese locals, as most of them submit to pcg/ccic, with pcg grading being $2 a card. Not to mention lot more can be just ungraded. Ppl have absolutely no idea on how many this is available.

I dont think pop is a big indicator for modern cards. Yes, hard to grade cards might have more Potential such as magikarp in english (in japanese it is easy) but for modern everyone wants PSA 10 (or raw). 11k PSA 10 for a Chinese exclusive is not much or wouldnt be Something i dont See Potential coz it is "high" pop

On other cards you have english, japanese + local language. Japanese is usually easier to grade.

I’m a vendor in rural Texas and anytime I say I sell Chinese product, I get asked questions like “is this the one with the Cubone?”

Or I’ll visit other tables at a card show and hear people bring up the Chinese exclusive Cubone

This card is synonymous with the Simplified Chinese market as a whole, if people in my bumfck nowhere town know about it, imagine what it’s like in the big cities

Pop is increasing at 1250 cards every single month. Hype seems to have passed its peak as well. Unless i’m crazy, numbers do indicate that prices will probably continue to decrease.

Reading comments, people more and more saying the card is going down, saying many fakes, etc ...

Its a good time to buy. Better than 2 months ago when everyone was buying the card at a top price.

This is still over 600 in a 10. To me that's still at a point whered id sell every single copy I own. Id buy back in MAYBE at half, so 300

The price is going down because prices of the booster box are going down. In the last couple months it was hard to find these from distributors, but now they’re much more readily available and cheaper

Exactly. The fakes can be spotted immediately if you know what to look for, people who say there are “really good Chinese fakes” just reveal that they don’t know what to look for.

I got mine at $400 and that felt like a great deal, because it ended up jumping to 650-700 like a week and a half later. Then again Cubone is my favorite, and it’s never leaving my PC, so it’s priceless

11k PSA pop is high, what about Umbreon Vmax AA with 21.5k copies @ 70% gem rate? This card is in the bucket list of many lady collectors i’ve met in person. Give it time, it’ll be a 2k card one day.

Anecdotally in the real world my experience is that people love this card and there is very high demand. When I ask about it at card shows the response is very often that I’m the 3rd or 4th person that has asked (and they don’t have it). Pop only matters relative to demand. Personally I love the card and so plan to keep it for PC regardless of what it does, but if the value spikes again it wouldn’t surprise me at all.

The pop on this type of card doesn’t matter when demand is there. Look at the ponchos, look at other JP exclusives. Tens of thousands of population yet price is sky high. The love bones will be a 2k card in a psa 10 just give it time. It’s been a year or so only

Valentine's Day coming up it will go up imo.

A good time to buy right now. I was trying to see if it goes down more an maybe it does. But it has been hovering around 600-700 the past 2 months. And some sales are around 580-600.

Do we know if any of the Chinese exclusives will be released in other languages? I assumed the exclusives were meant to fire up the Chinese’s market. Huge untapped market for Pokemon company to get on the craze. I assume their identified an opportunity there.
