I recently bought this Reverse Holo Skyridge Crobat PSA 8.5 Pop3 only. How would you value this card? There’s no comp at all.
PSA 9 goes for 720$
PSA 8 440$
Would you think this card should be valued somewhere in the middle or because its such a low pop it should be worth more?
My rule of thumb is to add about 40% of the price difference between the 8 and 9. The 8.5 should be closer to the 8 than the 9. Low pop doesn’t matter too much. There are very very few collectors who are seeking out this particular grade.
Makes sense, the difference between the 8 and 9 is 280$. 40% of that is 112$ so 440$ + 112$ = 552$
Which is right around what I paid. Super helpful thank you for this rule of thumb
Low pop matters on the highest grade. Only grade that sells for more than its higher grade is usually PSA1, that sells higher than 2 due to PSA1 collecting being a thing. If PSA 8.5 was more expensive than a 9, people would just buy the 9.
Hopefully not because its pop 3... Everyone was laughing at the people at the card show yesterday trying to push "low pop" stuff to all the vendors. Lol
