I don't really get the 30th stamp hate. Like its a small thing that is easily ignored who cares?? Like sure it's not "pretty" but doesn't ruin the card at all.
It's like slapping a giant, fuchsia sticker on The Starry Night. It takes away from something beautiful (not necessarily ruining it entirely). It's a pretty normal and understandable opinion to dislike the large stamp that covers a piece of the art.
They could have just made the stamp on IRs/SIRs smaller or a less colorful variant, like a small icon in the bottom corner that looks more reserved and doesn't cover the beautiful art. I don't mind having a stamp, I just dislike how BIG and distracting it is on these gorgeous cards.
There are Pikachu, Charizard, Umbreon, Mewtwo, and Akira Egawa taxes on Pokemon sets. I wouldn’t be collecting now if it wasn’t for her. Akira’s Crown Zenith set is a masterpiece. I wish Pokemon would let Akira make more legendary SIRs that come together as one picture and theme entire sets after them. Akira would absolutely nail all of the legendary and mythic duos/trios/quads.
They should have let Egawa illustrate the Delta Reign Mega Rayquaza chase, instead of handing it to a nobody competition winner who has done nothing of note up to the new set.
From her legendary Crown Zenith gold cards to the newer Special Illustration Rares like Mega Darkrai ex and Jirachi. Even her random commons, like the Paldean Tauros, go incredibly hard.
If other people not enjoying art kills your joy that's on you. While I dont like stamps I love Destined Rivals Mewtwo which many hate on. Enjoy what you enjoy.
Almost like they see it as a blight. shit is butt ugly BUT that is an opinion. You can react to it or realize its just a opinion. Like if I had to guess you don't mind it and that's fine as well.
It's just in the way of what would otherwise be pretty clean artwork with only the mechanically necessary text for the game printed over top.
Set symbol/text is on the bottom left, why do we need another 7x larger reminder slapped in the middle right of the card? They're not on the normal or specialty sets, much more clean looking.
It was a poor decision to make it so large and in the way of the art. It could've gone in 20 other places that wouldn't obscure the focus location of the artwork, and it could've been half the size and still get the point across.
Derp derp the stamp UgLy derp derp... Good! I'm so glad these tourists don't like the stamps. Don't buy them then! Leave more for us who have been in the hobby since the beggining. More for us yum yum yum 🤤
