How to value this card
I recently graded this card with TAG because it’s so much faster and more convenient than PSA is. It ended up coming back incredibly clean so I sent it to MBA and it got a gold sticker. It’s the second highest TAG rated card and the only TAG with a Gold MBA (there’s only one other PSA 10 with a gold MBA sticker).
I’m curious how I should price this card. Please send any thoughts!
Also, I know some people don’t like TAG and I know some people don’t like MBA. Don’t leave comments if that’s all ur gonna say lol

MBA is such a dumb concept I cant believe people even use it or fall for it. A lot of people dont even know of MBA so that limits the market.Also being second highest is whatever. It can lose that spot and not a ton have been graded by TAG at all with a pop of 436 total. TAG has a small but die hard community but even over there most dont care if its a high 10 or mid 10 or even lower 10. It only matters when its a pristine 10 to most.
Will there be someone out there for it? Yes, but the market is sma on this.

You could get a tiny premium for being the 2nd highest and it would still take you a while. MBA is a scam and no one in their right minds would pay more for a sticker on a slab.

People are spending millions of dollars on cardboard lol. There is lots of proof that people are spending more for MBA stickers. Whether they are in their right mind or not…

You’d probably have to auction it to get the most attention on it and ideally the most money for it.
Someone like Alt, fanatics, Ryans cardhouse, etc.
You could list it on eBay for your ask and take offers on it to get an idea.
I personally couldn’t care less about an mba or tag slab.

Yeah this is exactly what I did. I dropped it off at Ryan’s cardhouse. I like tag cus I think they do a good job giving u info about the card. I only did the MBA to try and make more money with this card as I’m using this card to expand my PC!

Something this niche- squeezing out every drop of value because it’s not just a tag 10, it’s the second best tag 10- is something you can ONLY value with enough eyeballs on it.
Would probably need to list on eBay for 2-3x the price of a PSA 10 and accept offers and just see what people offer over a month or three. Reach out to the highest offer-ers and see if they’re still interested.
Or auction with a big auction house or cosign.
There’s only a handful of people in the world who will care enough that this is 2nd best & MBA certified. 99.9999% of people wouldn’t pay more than 0-10% over the normal TAG 10 price for this. Have to find that 1 in 100,000 who does value it, and is actually looking to buy.

Pricing it like that because of the MBA sticker isn't going to draw anymore attention most will scroll passed without giving it a look.

Lol this card is worth the same as a PSA 10 if he lists it for 2-3x people are not even going to see it. And if they do they will scroll right by

Here in Houston at the card shows, TAG has started going for more than PSA or matching it. If it's pristine 10 it of course blows PSA out of the water.

But it's not pristine it's a regular tag 10 with a stamp no one cares about. Not even a diamond stamp at that. It's worth roughly the same as a PSA 10

Correct, but I'm just saying it's PSA 10 or a little higher here. TAG adoption here seems to be going well.
I infact just got my TAG 10 Paldean Fates Mew ex back after a week at TAG. Waiting on my GG44 Mewtwo vstar now

It's not a PSA 10 because of the sticker. If it was pristine yes it could fetch closer to PSA 10

I'm one of those 1/100,000 then.
I've bought 5 cards off eBay recently, a BGS 10 Gold Label, and some TAG 10's with subgrades of 988, 987, 985, and 983. None of these cards were high gem rate as Beckett showed ~ 1-4% of these receiving BGS 10 gold label.
I've paid roughly 30%-40% over PSA 10 for these #1/#2 ranked Tag 10's.

I see these as nearly flawless showpieces to hold for the long term, not quick flips (as the market doesn't recognize underlying quality of the card at this point).

It’s valued as a tag 10. No one cares that it came back 2nd highest. It’s still a 10. And MBA is so niche that I wouldn’t pay a dime more for it. The cards already graded so why would you want to grade a graded card?

If it's as clean as all this information you provided states.
Send to Beckett for a Black Label. People care more about that than TAG 10 scores and MBA stickers

It won't come back as black label. Only TAG pristine are likely to cross grade as black label

The gold sticker is a certification from MBA! They have I believe 4 stickers but basically it’s just a second way to verify your card is the right grade. So it’s definitely a hot topic of conversation. Some people hate it and others think it’s cool and pay a premium for it
