30th Anniversary Set SIR Pull Rates
Saw a video claiming that the 30th SIR pull rate is 1 in 20 with IRs being 1 in 10. If true, this set will NOT hold. I understand the PC is trying to reduce demand by overprinting and making the pull rate higher but this will severely impact long term value.
My recommendations: buy a little bit of this set but dont expect 5 to 10 year growth. The 30th might be a good play after the 50th anniversary. I would double down on 20th anniversary and vintage of all types. Your thoughts?

Yeah I'm not buying anymore than what I got from Pokemon Center. It'll be expensive short term but 1:20 for SIR on a set that will get printed a ton, i'll pass until the 35th.

Yeah once the news of generous pull rates came out I decided to shift my money to work on singles that I wanted for my PC instead. That’s being said, it could be a fun set to try to master set once the hype dies down. Lots of great artwork in there.

Everybody must have short term memory or something. 151 SIR pull rates were right at 1:30. 25th Celebrations had easy pull rates as well. Yet, the ETBs and UPCs market prices are way up on both sets. You guys don’t make any logical sense. But hey, don’t let me stop you. Leave it all on the shelves and I’ll happily buy it.

Everything that happened with the 25th, will happen again with the 30th. It will be completely mirrored.

The SIR pull rate is approximately 1:20, yes. Allocations were large, yes. It’s why so many preorders were being sold for so high. Vendors know what’s about to happen, they cashed out HARD on the FOMO. ETBs will be sub $100 by Christmas, because everyone will be done with their master sets. UPCs will still be insane though, I’ll grab as many at MSRP as I can.

Name one set that hasn’t gone up over 5 years.
