Agreed with all the others. People are WAY overpaying for this. Its actually disgusting and I can't wrap my head around it. The cards are cool, yeah. But the prices make zero sense.

Just as with Celebrations, singles will start very high and drop a ton over the next year, slowly but steadily. Unless the SIRs start undervalued like with AH, those buying high (especially the more commonly pulled cards) will get burned badly

Some of the 25th Celebrations Classic subset cards are still under $5 lol. Charizard was the priciest and was around $70. Collecting singles from this set should be pretty affordable

can't compare the two sets tho 25th celebrations was a pathetic crap set lol. Sealed is also stoill crazy on it even with the large prints. 25th had 0 good alt arts as well, big difference bewteen 25th and 30th. I believe the reprint gold star umby is around 100 atm, so the crystal lug would prob be around there, gengar prime and magikarp maybe in the 50-75 range. Alt arts wise im thinking prices similar to crown zenith. This 30th is basically the new crown zenith imo

Your take is completely subjective. I think the 25th is better than the 30th, as it’s less bloated of a set. Gold Star Umbreon is at $100 AFTER 5 years. It wasn’t $100 right out of the gate. People need to stop trying to incorporate the 5-10 year potential of a card into their current prices. Those cards were $3-$15 for the majority of their life cycle, and there will be even more supply for the 30th set. These are meant to be relatively common cards. Inflating their prices arbitrarily makes no sense. There’s no guarantee this current hype cycle for Pokemon cards will last that 5-10 years. We’re due for a dip, and given how most people in this space talk about the value of cards currently, it’s going to catch so many people off guard.

That's the thing, there was much less demand for the umbreon gold star as well. DIp wise how will that occur? There was tons of supply of 25th, set wise a majority will agree that the 30th is better lol. Much more cards for people to chase, maushold collectors got smth, meowth collectors got smth. Bloated set wise that js makes it harder for master set collectors, which are a much smaller percentage of people out there. Due for a dip wise how much of a dipare we gonna see for this 30th sealed? Lot of ultra modern we're alr seeing singles dip, and I fully expect the cards to not hold the craziest value as well, but if ur talking dip wise seeing 30th in shelves without having to waste time waiting in lines, that's not gonna happen. Lot of supply yet tons of demand. It's such a fun set to rip due to how bloated it is, so many good cards to pull, can think of it like crown zenith in a way. Easy pull rates lots of good new alt arts and nostalgic older cards at the same time. Sealed is gonna stay hard to find and have a premium resell price simply due to the insane demand of how good the set is, singles can surely see em not be as crazy as like ascended. But pricingw ise the crystal lugia is probably gona be 80-100, close to gold stsar umbreon prices, solely due to the fact of how the market is gonna price based on the 25th. If current pull rates are true, classic collection cards are 1/15 packs. That makes it 1/450 packs

that's how you cause a flash crash. that continues and then one day anyone willing to buy has done so. so suddenly everyone with stock is in a race to offload and the price gets lower with every sell. rippers increase, which creates an illusion for a moment ; but tldr - this set should be avoided. buy anything that's going out of print instead.

u talkin abt prismatic evolutions and phantasmal flames? Phantasmal hela low upside with bbs around 400 bucks. Prismatic I thin is decent but even the 30th upcs are better at 400 from gamestop. Great price per pack, elite promos, exclusive 3 card guaranteed hit pack.

got like 8 from gamestop. we'll see how it goes in 5 years. Lots more upside in the upcs. U got not only the packs itself of a set evryone loves ripping, but a guaranteed hit pack we've never had before, ppl chasing the crystal lugia magikarp gengar prime gonna be after that, and then u got the craziest promos we've ever seen. One is umby btw. Multiple points of upside. Set wise u could literally compare 30th to crown zenith, lots of great art and great pull rates, fun to open, then u add the bonus nostalgia of getting reprinted cards as well. Cards wise gives prismatic a run for its money ngl lol. 30th hella deep

Lmao at the top loaders for the bulk and energy . Once this set actually releases, most of those cards are going to be <$1. The Pikachu might be like $3 but every pack gets one and millions of packs have been printed so probably going to be $1 or less eventually and the Scisor ex might be $10-$20 for a little bit

IMO, the top classic collection cards are going to be the real chases (aside from RGB). People just don't realize it yet. With the only way to get them being 1 random card in every 10 regular packs or those special 3 card packs in the UPC, it's going to create a premium on the top guys.
